   is there any way to make it look less plasticy in game?

   Just use the alternate normal map (should be a separate zip file in the folder). The texture you want is called #crasNORMALSPECJOIN_n(OptionalLowResLowReflectNormal).zip.
   Use that to replace \Bethesda Softworks\Fallout 3\Data\Textures\armor\TacticalVest\crasNORMALSPECJOIN_n.dds.

   I think i can implement this into the game... i'll talk with the author and made my own home version, but it's very doable since he has mapped it onto the fo3 body.
