INTRODUCTION

In short the MERC mod adds three things: Your
own military base, your own faction of merc's,
and mercenary contracts to perform. The mod
adds new weapons, armor, and characters.

The base is located West of Paradise Falls and
when you arrive, you have the option to revive
and save Blain from a band of Talon mercenaries.

Accepting Blain's proposition your start on a
quest to build your own private military force
in the Capitol Wasteland.

REQUIREMENTS

The only requirement is that you will need to
have the Operation Anchorage DLC installed and
running to use the mod. You may need to move
the DLC content files to your DATA directory
and load it as you would any other mod.

There will be a non OA version released later if
you don't have the DLC.

INSTALLATION

Extract all of the contents to the DATA folder
in your Fallout 3 directory. You NEED the asset
files as well. They contain all the textures
and meshed needed by this mod.

Everything installed is placed in a mod named
folder. E.G. Meshs/Mercmod. So if you want to
uninstall it, the files will be easily found.

!!!!!!!!
The mod is picky about load order after you
start running it. This means any mods installed
after you start the mercmod can mess it up.

So use mod manager to either place the mercmod
in the 3rd load order or make sure any added
mods are set to load after it.

GETTING STARTED

It is simple. You can play the game however you
want. When you visit the new location next to
paradise falls, you have the ability to start
the quests or not. If you just want the stuff
inside the base, you can picks the locks if you
skill is high enough.

ADDITIONAL DOCUMENTS

To play through the contracts and what not, you
can find help information on the terminals in
the base. You also receive a holodisk that will
get you going.

KNOWN ISSUES

The Shock Rifle texture is wack. Mainly the
scope on the gun. This is a beta of the gun
I made. It is not the final production model.

Do not change the load order of the mod after
you have a savegame or it will crash.

Sometimes you will not beable to get the unit
command menu when you click on them. Just save
and exit to the main menu, load the save, and it
should work fine.

MISCELLANEOUS

I know I can't please everyone. If you don't
like it, so be it. Just remember this mod is
something I worked on nearly everyday for 3 or
more months. I have 4 kids and 2 jobs, so if
you think the mod could be done better, then do
it. I'm not getting paid and I am
doing this for everyone's pleasure.
