it sounds like this is a unique glitch, but my textures won't load properly and the gun models take the texture of whatever clothing or environment I'm in (I'm on win8.1 64 bit).
Probably it is of no use now, but I play on win 8.1 64 bit, have this mod and the textures load perfectly. Perhaps it was a texture mod you might have had?
Funny you mention it, but the skin on this weapon has almost exactly the same level of detail as Bethsoft's magnum textures. As for model detail... not much I can do there, the actual handgun itself isn't exactly complicated, a very spartan and rugged design. There's a reason so many of these have survived for so long despite the conditions they were used in.
Well if you wanted my commentary, here it is: fix the edges, and that massive cylinder gap. You also might want to slim the rear of the revolver from the FPS perspective.
And for extra brownie points, make available the various different lengths the Peacemaker usually came available in. Including the Ned Buntline Special.
I give this mod a 9. I have been looking for the SAA Peacemaker all over and I finally find it. The problem is that this gun doesn't look right and sticks out of the environment. Work on the textures some more
The Stock/standard SAA had a 7 1/2 in barrel. The model you have there is a 5 in model. You think you could add in other lengths.? variant models were 4 1/2, 5, 5 1/2, 6, plus the standard army model of 7 1/2 in. And they were made in many calibers. The calibers in this game would be fine. .
.32 could be the 32-20, .44 was a standard caliber, 10mm is close to the 38-40 cartridge (it was actually 40 cal and not 38, long story)
This mod goes great with the various Lever action mods and the ones that add the long double barrel shotguns, add in a long coat, and a hat like the sheriffs and WHAM!!!! Vault Gunslinger.
Great work id give it a 9.9 as its not quite perfect yet. Work on the texture, and add in a couple of variants and it will easily be a 10= to me.

I would LOVE YOU FOREVER if you made a Remington 1875 Outlaw in 7.5" and added a "one round at a time" reload animation.
