**Just downloaded this and found out that you forgot to add the mesh for the pistol to the file.**
There is actually a style of suppressor that covers the entire barrel of the weapon. (2 point something or other...) It is usually used on high powered rifles to make them less offensive (sound wise & visually) in urban areas by SWAT type law enforcement units. I remember an old History Channel show about a large cal revolver being fully suppressed. They showed a pic of it and the "can" went all the way back to the cylinder.
It is actually possible to silence most of the sound generated by the charge of a given round. However the mechanical sounds from the gun itselt and the bullet report from super sonic rounds can not.
Do a search on YouTube for "Suppressor" some very interesting vids out there.
i personally adore this weapon and in fact created this account to download it. I don't see why everyone bags on the 32. it is reliable and with a suppressor tit is now my main weapon.
That is correct, the Nagant 1895 can be silenced with off the shelf silencer equipement. Various other revolvers can be fitted with gaskets (but there is interference with the normal rotation of cylinder) though really why you would want this in actual live combat and not an automatic that has a far larger ammo capacity (and with SOME models a better reliability history) than a revolver I do not know...
Which has been done with one gun, the Nagant revolver. When it fires, it closes the gap. So yeah, you can silence a revolver. If you have one specific revolver. Which you don't.
Actually, I should say suppress. It's impossible to silence a firearm.
