I myself play a very stealthy character, and this has really brought another layer of depth to that style of tactics.
Before, I would just pick a group of enemies off one by one using a sniper. That kinda gets boring after the 1000th time. Now I use a scoped weapon to take an analysis of the situation and find the strongest/best equipped enemy. I then pop them with some psycho and watch as the others take him down. While they're distracted, I am able to inch closer to the action, and mow down the few remaining survivors.
Yeah I was trolling the suggestions forum looking for something I could try and do. Everything was pretty easy except putting the items on Doc Hoff. I ended up scrapping that plan because I couldn't get my merchant container to work with him and went for the dialog options instead. The gun can be a bit dangerous to use hehe. It's pretty easy to get a lot of people killed hehe. I am hoping by having it tied to the ammount of psycho in the game it will be tough to come by the ammo.
Thanks. Perhaps you saw my suggestion in the requests forum. I attempted as my first mod to do this, but couldn't figure out how to use Psycho directly. One thing that I did do was add a faint shimmering red skin tone to the effected actor's skin to denote their psycho frenzy rage, using the pms command and an effect shader.
