Sorry to anyone who has had a question, or concern regarding installation, or any general unforeseen strangeness with these re-textures. I took a long break from messing around with custom textures, and PC gaming in general, so I didn't check this site that often, for a long time... I hope everyone was able to sort out his/her problems, and enjoy the retextures. Thanks for your kind words/endoresments/downloads!
Awesome mod ty, One very very minor gripe though is the communist propaganda books would never have been so prevalent in Pre War America. They would have been banned and very limited not found everywhere which this mod if you pick certain packs will do. As I said though a minor whine at most, Endorsed ty. I just use the more generic packs
these clutter texture packs are genuinely awful to install. maybe it's because fallout 3 modding got killed by bethesda neglecting the game. just weird that's it's only these mods that don't work now.
I've seen the default green and blue re-war books, but what about the default blue, white and black one and the brown one? And is there any way to get them into my game? I've never seen them before. They look awesome.
Thank you for your works! They are all beautiful I love variation 2 & 4 especially.

Bethesda's game shows newer date files than older ones in the game's directory of your computer. So if you installed FO3 recently via STEAM (like me ), Vanilla data of FO3 has the latest "date". If the mod you want to use has older date than your Vanilla data, it won't show up. Downloaded all 3 of your retex mods (skillbooks, WSG & prewar) - they look amazing in the screenshots - unfortunately I can't get them to work in-game.
Followed the instructions on the tin (including the binvalidation=1 thing) but still getting vanilla FO3 textures.
=(
Any help would be appreciated - I'm running Vista with Steam F03 & all the DLC from Windows Live (Windows live currently disabled via another mod).
I've checked that all the files ended up where they should be (Fallout 3dataetc...) & they're all there.
I would love this mod if all of the packages could be combined to allow for major diversity when it comes to Fallout's pre-war book library, but unfortunately, I am forced to choose only one package. No one package is outstanding, but all of them together would be a sight to see. A pity; this mod could have been great if the original intention was to combine all of the packages. I can't give my endorsement for this as it is though.
This mod is just a re-texture, in order to have 16 different prewar books or some other high number would require adding them in the geck and creating items in the world, making a bigger impact, requiring a esp file and at this point the mod begins to have compatability issues, as is this mod does a great job of taking existing content and giving realism and better variety...I love hires re-textures for fallout 3 and this is no exception... great job! Thanks!
Or using an .jar injector like the AV textures for Skyrim! (It summons random-textures on creatures. So you add several textures for one creature and it picks one of them). Something simular could be done to books, booze etc.
I entertained the idea of doing this, back in the day. It wouldn't be too hard to do, hell with all of the permissions I gave people to use these textures maybe someone did do it! I haven't played Fallout 3 in a long while, so chances of me actually doing something like this are slim, to none however. Glad you guys dig em' though, thanks!
