About this mod

Hunger Thirst Sleep Mod. Healing totaly rebalanced for more realism and less micromanagment. Fatigue calculated in realtime. Player have to drink, sleep, eat for living. Using chems alters hunger/thirst/sleepnes levels. Regeneration is turned on out of combat and depends on player thrist, hunger, enduance, medecine. Read Long Description.

I start work on 8.2 Version
1. Stimulation level lowers correctly, when character is waiting.+
2. First Aid regeneration out of combat will be slower - i think this is to overpowered too. +
3. there will be two more steps in hidden quest.
4. this file will be come in two modifications - ESM and ESP version. ESM will be made by request because it will be more easier to make modifications of my mod by other modders
5. character can cook raiders soup from various S food and water. This soup will restore 10 Hunger and 5 Thirst, and rise critical strike chance for 10 seconds. And it can be consumed by Gluxometer V2. +
6. Charecter will be able to drink Ice Cold nuka cola with Gluxometer V2. +
7. Using a lot of stimpacks while dealing with Vault Security will not kill character before he/she comes to Megatone. +
8. Drinking water from stationary water sources is more simple - drinking while sneaking refills bottels, drinking while not sneaking fully restores THIRST and water radiactivity shows how irradiated character be, if he/she drinks water.+
9. There is a sink with low rads water in Megaton near water proccesing plant.+
10. Rad-x, RadAway is much more rare! There is 2 Rad X and for Antirad Serum for every RadAway, and Rad Away is 5 times more rare.+
11. Rad X and radaway has similar effects - Rise radiation resistance, lowers radiation level. But RadX rise resistance for 1 minutes, and restores 1 rads per second for 1 minute, and RadAway restores about 50 rads per 10 seconds rising resistance for 30% for 10 seconds+


When i will raise to 8.5 Version, i'll make a russian translation.

Despite of long description, this is simple Hunger Thirst Sleep mod with healing rebalanced. Character need Food, Water and Sleep to survive.

This mod is simple for use, but changes game play dramatically by making it more strategic and realistic.
You have to think about supplies and prepare to every fight.

BACKGROUND
===============
There is a someone in Vault-Tec R&D, who realy wants to help you. Probably, he is long dead, but you have recieved his email and activated some new functions of your pipboy.




===============
GENERAL
===============

When this mod is started, player gets some sort of manual as email from Doctor Iliary Beloy (sic!).
Player has an option to choose regeneration style (food and water doesn't heal, regeneration enabled) or vanila style (water and food heals, no regeneration) of gameplay.



In both cases player have to eat, sleep and drink. Player gains Vault Tec Gluxometer, which helps player character alwayes stay in perfect shape.
It shows Hunger, Thrist, Tiredness and regeneration rate.

There is two versions of Gluxometer – Full and Light Versions

TIMESCALE
===============
Timescale is a number of gameseconds, which pass in one realtime second.
After inslaing this mod, player get a Time Scale Corrector to change the timescale. Also, you can get Vault-Tec Timescale Corrector from some merchants - i.e. Moira Brown.
Default timescake is 30. Recomended - 5 or 15. 1 - realtime.

BECOMING HUNGRY, THIRSTY, SLEEPY
===============
Every action you do costs you energy, water and tiredness. For example, while running, you lose 2 times more water
and nutrients than while walking, fight is adrenaline filled action and requires 6 times more nutrients than walk in park and et cetera.
My mod calculates energy loss in real-time in order to achive maximum realism! Take a look at Gluxometer while walking and running – you see that consumption of nutrients and water differs.
Also, using chems alter hunger, thirst and sleep.

So, this is the most realistic HTS mod for FO3!!!

WATER
===============
Water is life, without water character will dye in approximately 72 hours. You can drink dirty/purified water, Nuka Cola, Wine, bear, Ice Nuka Cola and Nuka Cola Quantum to fight Thirst. In case of emergency, you can drink directly from every stationary water source – pool, river Potomak, Sink, Toilet. If water in source isn’t to dirty, you can use empty Nuka Cola Bottle and 1 cap to store water and get Dirty Water. There is a new chem, HydroPureIt, which can purify 1 bottle of every water.

Character needs about 4 bottles of water per day.
After drinking, small message appears in upper left corner of the screen with % of Thirst restored.
Lack of water results in decreasing endurance.

There is a small SFX for becoming thirsty – player will not miss when his character need to drink.

If character is dying from thirst, he/she have 60 seconds to find a source of water or to dye.

After one perk, player can drink blood from bloodpacks to restore health and cope thirst.

FOOD
===============
Player need food. I tried to make food consumption realistic. Hungry character is weak.
Food restore hunger with various effectivity - consider a 200 years old pack of snacks and fresh chunk of meat. Which is more tasty and refilling?
Food have symbols in AID section of pipboy to help player maintain optimal value XL food is the best.
XL>L>M>S>XS
After eating, small message appears in upper left corner of the screen with % of Hunger restored.

Cannibalism is effective too.

Character can fry raw meat in Ovens. To fix a oven, you need 25 Flamer Fuel, 50+ Repair and a Pilot Light.

Penalties comes, when hunger or thirst are higher than 0,25*MaxValuer, 0,5*MaxValue and 0,75*MaxValue.
Or, wth new gluxometer - 25% 50% and 75%

Penalties can be seen on Effects screen of Character Info page of Pipboy

There is a small SFX for becoming Hungry – player will not miss when his character need to eat.

If character is dying from hunger, he/she have 60 seconds to find a source of water or to dye.

SLEEP
===============

Grades of tiredness are from 0 (Full on energy) to 24 - very sleepy. Player takes 1 point of tiredness every hour.

Lack of sleep results in decreasing inteligence, HP and action points. Blur when sleepy can be toggled on and off by console ("set zzzBlur to 0" - off and "set zzzBlur to 1" on).
Penalties come after 18 and 24 hours without sleep.

Every present in Vanila FO3 Bed can be used to remove tiredness – every hour of sleep restores 4+Endurance/5 points of Tiredness.



Moira Brown, Seagrave Holmes and Lidya Montenegro sell Portable Mattrases, which can be used to sleep everywhere.

Portable Matress manual:
To use the mattress, drop it from your inventory by right-clicking on it. This will drop the mattress 'placer' object into the world (at the moment the placer looks like a cutting board - possible future versions of the mod will include a more effective placer object). Move the placer around using the 'grab' key to the place where you want to deploy it, and activate the placer (as if you were going to pick it up) to deploy the mattress. Activating the mattress normally will let you sleep on it, while activating it in stealth mode will let you pick it up and add it to your inventory again.

HEAL OTHERS
===============
Player with high Medicine skill get a message with clues how to heal others with stimpack. They can use 1 stimpack as melee weapon wich heals on strike, but sometimes makes the victim very angry :-)

REGENERATION
===============
Regeneration calculated like this
(Endurance + Medecine skill/10 ) * (1-Hunger/MaxValue)*(1-Thirst/VaxValue)*zzzRegenRate*constant HP/second.
You can't regenerate in battle
You regenerate full health in aprox few minutes.
You can't regenerate crippled body parts.

Red flashes which are seen, while regeneration occurs, can now be toggled on and of by console command

Player need more food and water while regenerating.

When player regenerate, there is a small visual effect, resulting in vision turning more redish for 1 second. Regeneration effect finishes when player has 100% health.
There is a BioRegenerator in aids section of pipboy. It can alter speed of regeneration in cost of water consumption while regenerating.

STIMULATION
===============
When character use stimpack, his/her methabolism is accelerated, which results in higher food/water consumption and is displayed as stimulation level. Now, every stimpack will give about 10% of Hunger and Thirst after use. But this fatigue effect doens't applie immediatly, but in 2-3 minutes. Also, using a stimpack rises stimulation level of a character.
When stimulation level vasts from 1 to 25 - player have a slow regen rate (in mode without regeneration) or a small boost to regen rate (with regeneration enabled)
If Stimulation level is higher, than 25 percent, character has slow restoration of limbs (not broken ones!)
Stimulation levels greater than 75% is dangerous - character has blurry vision, and penalties to strenght and endurance
Stimulation higher than 100% can be fatal - character has a 10% chance to dye immideatly

Medecine Assist
===============
There is a new function of Pipboy - [Medecine Assist] in aids section. With Medecine >50 you can heal broken limps with bone fractures using medical bracers. Also, this function allows to create RadAway and Stimpacks from new chems Healing Powder and Antirad Serum

CHEMS
===============

New chems Healing Powder and Antirad Serum are presented. This chems are not very effective, but they are very easy to find and with Science >50 can be used to create Stimpack and Radaway using [Medecine Assist] in AIDS section.

All chems have weights.
If you choose “food and water heals”, ingestibles doen’t restore HP in battle. It is for balance.


Using stimpack and buffout fatigue the player, resulting in hunger and thrist. So food is important after good brawl.

Using more than 3-4 stimpacks is dangerous, because character can be overdosed.

It is 100% safely to wait after using 3-4 stimpacks at least 30 seconds of relaxing to use new 1-2 stimpacks
Relaxing Time is depended on Endurance


Stimpacks are more rare and much more expensive. And they are the only thing(!!!), that can heal you in battle.

With medecine > 50 player can heal others with stimpack. Player can use stimpack as a melee weapon, but it heals NPC. Sometimes NPC doesn't like when you make them injections without their permisions...


Jet makes tiredness low by 4 points. Ultajet lowes tiredness by 8. but they make user hungry and drains health a little.

Ice cold Nuka cola is good antisleepy think - half of jet power, -2 tiredness, but makes user hungry.

Nuka Cola Quantum removes 4 point of tiredness, but makes drinker hungry.


Alcohol potions add 1 point of tiredness and gives you cool blurry vision.
Vodka lowers RADS level by 50 points.


Maybe, you didn't realized it, but purified and unpurified water are in bottles of nuka cola. you can refill empty soda bottles with water at sinks.


MedX is now called Morphine.
It tires (lika an alcohol), and it restores all body parts condition by 20%.

RadX effectivity depends on character endurance.

New chem, HydroPureIt can be used to clean unpurified (dirty) water and make it purified.
HydroPureIt can be found in FirstAidKits.

Water is more radioactive, than in vanilla.

RadAway is dangerous in big qualities. It is dangerous to use more than 2 RadAway.
After using them, you have to relax aprox 30 seconds to use 1-2 radaways one more time.

SUPPLY
===============

Less supplies im word, more on enemies.
Now, every second Raider/Talon/Regulator will alwayes have some food - 1-2 Junk Food or Squirel on a Stick or somtething like it.
Locked First Aid Kit will have 1-2 stimpacks, 1-2 radaway/RadX/HydroPureIt, probably lockpick, maybe Morphine, and Medical Tools - Scissors, Scalpel et cetera. Unlocked First Aid kits have less supplies in it.

PERKS
===============

Night Person Perk is corrected - he/she now has 2+ INT,+2 PER and +10 sneak at night. No penalties for perception.

Hematopage perk is corrected - you eliminate thirst and hunger(S) by drinking blood.

Cannibalism perk is corrected - you eliminate hunger by eating foes

Solar Powered is corrected - you cope thirst and hunger by getting power from the Sun.

MISC EFFECTS

===============



Nights are dark - player character has -2 to Percection and sneek +10 outside.
Character twith Night Person perk has +2 PER, +2 INT,+10 Sneel at night outside and +2 PER, +2 INT in interior.

Also, all NPC humans (including player) has less health. hp=100+20*end+0*level
Headshots give 200% damage, torso shots give 100% damage, shots in legs reslt in 25% damage and shots in hands result in 20% damage.


There is some virtual realities in the game. When player is in it, he doesn't get hungry, sleepy or thirsty.

Damaged legs now realy slows down any creature.
1 leg - in 2 times
2 legs - in 4 times.

Like any other mod.
Extract all content of archive to …\fallout3\data folder.
Put a tick in launcher near this ESP.

Lifesim initialize when you not in combat with message shown.
Before you character leaves the vault 101 lifesim is disabled.

Simply remove the esp.
you can be on any state of thirst/hunger.
No buggs with any damages to stats. WHen you upgrade old versions of this mod, their can be issue when stats. So, uninstall old versions of my mods.

This mod is incompatible with mods, which change food, stimpacks, buffout and leveling lists for medical supplies.

There is universal hotfix for every version of my HTS.
It was very hard to alter OP:A scripts and to save mode functionality, but i managed to make a crude solution - Health Dispensers gives apples after every use and character can't dye from thirst/hunger.

There is universal hotfix for every version of my HTS.
In this Hotfix slop is changed to Noodles (there is no difference in model and effects of this food, just a name) and 2 beds are working normaly (restores energy), while a lot of other ones worked ok and without this hotfix.

There is universal hotfix for every version of my HTS. But this hotfix is still under construction, because i want to rebalance some perks (Rad Tolerance, rad consumption and other ones related to HTS and health).

If character didn't sabotaged Water Purifier, Aqua Pura, Cura, Holywater transforms in Purified Water and Unpurified Water after use.
If character didn't sabotaged Water Purifier, it is not a good idea to drink this waters!

there is only 1 bug i cannot correct now - water in pond near jefferson memorial doen't affect thirst.

There is universal hotfix for every version of my HTS. But this hotfix is still under construction.
Ovens works normaly, and there is some additional ovens in the world.
punga fruits, refined punga and moonshine doen't restores thirst and hunger, because there is only one option to correct it - to make separate HTS mode for Point Lookout, but maybe i'll do it.

There is universal hotfix for every version of my HTS.
Biogel is not so powerfull in consideration with stimpack
After consumption alien food transforms into usual food (vegetables) - let us pretend, that character uses his/her imagination to eat this hellish looking underwater creatures).
the other option to correct this - - to make separate HTS mode for Mothership Zeta (not compatible with other DLC), but maybe i'll do it.







Mods, that add portable mattres and any other not present in vanilla beds are not compatible.
Incompability results in sleeping in new beds doen't restore tiredness points.


Mod "Better Living Through Chems" is not compatible. - New drugs work ok, but my mod changes work of alcohol, stimpack, jet, buffout.

Install my mod after BLTC.

3. Fatigue applied more predictedly - now, the linear formula is used, not parabolic
4. Mod is more friendly to FOOK.
5. Alternative hotfixes for DLC is present - i had a problem, when hotfixes worked on my version of FO3 and doen't worked on others.
6. There is some new ovens usable for frying meat- 3 in Megatone, 1 on Tenpenny Balcony and one in Rivet City Market.


Version 8.1
1. Issue with HydroPureIt is corrected - sometimes player can use signle HydroPpureIt to purify more than 10 bottles.
2. Issue with drinking a lot is corrected - now, drinking from stationary water source will fully restore thirst but will properly irradiate the player. This water sources are considered healthy and restores thirst to 100%
sinks, waterpipes, Fire Hydrants, drinking fountains - in other words - every water source with isolated from enviroment water in it. Character can drink a lot and refill a bottles from water sources, that restores 50(clean, not irradiaded) and 30, 24 HP - irradiaded.
