Quick question. Has this since been fixed in the actual game or is it still a problem. Cause i just finished OA and im an EW user so im gonna love my Gauss rifle, but from what I could tell in OA it worked fine in vats(I cheated a bit and gave myself a few more mf cells...only 2000. Dont judge me )

Nice job fixing this, but I won't use it. I like the little explosion effect, and I dont really use VATS that much anyway especially since it's bugged. I never use it for sniping, instead I use a bullet time mod that drains AP to slow my scope movement so I can headshot people. But for people who cant aim for the head that easily, or just use VATS alot (turn based mod, etc.) it's a good idea.

You may have to moves your operation anchorage DLC files from the weird hidden Games for Windows Live folder to your Fallout 3/Data folder and actviate it like a mod. I couldn't play any mods for Operation Anchorage when the DLC files were sitting in their original location.

To find the DLC files, do an advanced search on your C drive for Xlive. You'll need to set the search for hidden and system files option. On my system it found two xlive folders, one with a small x and one with a big X, the one with the big X was the right one.

Or, you can try and go to it directly... on an XP machine the location is (be sure to replace your user name with your user name on your computer):

    C:\Documents and Settings\Your User Name\Local Settings\Application Data\Microsoft\Xlive\DLC

On a Vista machine it is:
    C:\Users\Your User Name\AppData\Local\Microsoft\XLive\DLC

Inside the DLC folder you'll find some folders with random numbers, go deeper until you find one called Content and that should have the three Operation Anchorage files that you can move to your Fallout 3/Data folder. Then you can activate Operation Anchorage just as if it were a normal Fallout 3 mod. Put it early in the mod list, right after the normal Fallout 3 master file.

I am sure its on my side, but once enabled this is the mod that only causes my game to lock up..can't even get to the main menu screen.
