About this mod

This mod alters the way skill books award skill points, using a formula similar to the one from the original Fallout games.

Permissions and credits
This mod makes skill books function similar to the way they did in previous Fallout versions. In Fallout, Fallout 2 and Fallout Tactics, the amount of skill points gained is equal to:

(100 - current skill level) / 10, rounded down

Thus, the maximum a skill can increase by books is up to 91%.

This mod uses the following formula for all skill books:

(70 - current skill level) / 10

Thus, the maximum a skill can increase by books is up to 61% (63% with the Comprehension perk)

This mod also changes the Comprehension perk to the classic Fallout perk of the same name. Just like the original Fallout games, if you have the Comprehension perk, you gain +50% to skill points earned when reading a book. Thus, the formula becomes:

( (70 - current skill level) / 10) * 1.50
