Works well with the Alternative roleplayers Start mod. I chose Raider as my proffession and though some just call you an arsehole and walk away, most can be recruited via Sharing and Caring and are loyal to you. Although fights break out with companions who Raiders just do not like. Raiding Super Duper mart was an education in opposing factions reactions to one another while aligned with the player and While my companions and SD occupants fought it out, I was able to wander at liesure looting as go.
currently it doesn't enable many new options for many vanilla NPCs that you couldn't already open a dialog with. Raiders are...different, I've read that they're semi-randomly generated; so a raider recruited, then told to wait somewhere, and then come back to later might look different and even switch genders Oo ; but then again, they're raiders, there's always more of them
I'll look into enabling conversation with vanilla NPCs mods like the armor disguise mod might produce interesting results (like your own personal Talon company that you "paid" to change sides) LoL
I'll do it just for the laughs and maybe some kudos ;-)
would this work with the alternate start roleplay, i.e u can be friendly with raiders, does this enable the ability to recuit them with sharing and caring?
If I receive more comments asking about the few NPCs that this doesn't work with, I may see about it
-sometimes if you try talking to an apparently conversational NPC multiple times it will work
I didn't do the location-specific characters because thats a bit more work, and this works for what its intended to do, namely make a good looking npc in geck, and put it in game very quickly
@test2006 unfortunately that would involve editing the NPC in question If the NPC cant say anything at all, then this simple global mod won't work -I tried, because I really wanted my own (copy of)Amata follower with her own voice, but she has no generic greeting (everything she says seems to be part of a quest) and I am unable to add a new top-level topic to any npc (my GECK has some....issues)
