Think I may have found a bug. Started a new game with all the PostApoc mods loading last. Dogmeat should be set as essential but he's still dying. I haven't had any other companions so I don't know if its just Dogmeat or all of them.
THIS IS EXACTLY the kind of thing we need more of - good name, great concept. Fixing oversights in the vanilla game is always a big deal for me. Thankfully, FO3 doesn't suffer from nearly as many bizarre design decisions as Oblivion did, but there's still a lot that can be fixed. Rifles that use pistol rounds but do three times the damage; companions whose only commands are run off where I can't see you and die, or stand here and do nothing; automatic weapons that possess the same accuracy regardless of whether you're firing single shot or full auto; a time scale more accelerated than a squirrel doing Jet..and so on and so on. I just hope that all the people doing rebalance mods (or any kind, really) will work together on compatibility. I'll be trying out PostApoc immediately.
