I saw in the description that you said it was ok to use your mod, so I made a conversion for Tale of Two Wastelands and have credited you. http://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/62581/?
Very nice! Ironically, when I played Operation Anchorage, I helped the Outcasts kill the Super Mutants with a Flamethrower. Since I liked the other 2 companion mods, I think I'll get this one too.
No matter how overpowered he is, he certainly can't be worse than almost invincible Gatling Laser Broken Steel Fawkes. I swear, balance in Fallout 3 was so bad.
There is mod here in Nexus that rebalance Fawkes, Dogmeat and RL3 fixing the huge HP added by the DLC Broken Steel. I downloaded it because I agree Fawkes is too overpowered(almost 15000 HP). Here is the link: http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout3/mods/20549/?
That sounds like an interesting idea. You can always do it yourself via the GECK if nothing else works. I messed around with the Raider companion in the GECK, surprisingly not that hard.
As a fan of the Outcasts and badass men with flamethrowers, this companion is like a dream come true. I love him already.
Sometimes he doesn't follow, but I think that's more an issue of Fallout 3's clumsy pathing than the follower himself. The voice is great, but the volume is a bit low perhaps? I think this might be a problem on my end, because some characters and some recordings play very very quietly. I'll look into that, I definitely enjoy Nitro's lines.
Yay! A MALE companion mod! After looking through pages of snail-trails, I found one that's NOT! Judging by the companions and PC's I see, Fallout3 certainly seems to be the place for nerdy pre-teens (chronologically, or mentally) to satisfy their video game fantasies! To each his own, though...
How do you recruit him???? All i get is when i talk to him is "I got nothing to say to you,now move along." And it isn't a diolouge its just a no diolouge conversation. Help!?!
My girlfriend is playing though my old F3 game for the first time and this mod totally solves the inherent problem that good is punished pretty badly early on as a playstyle due to a lack of available followers, especially because I'm running crazy hard difficulty mods and MMM and she's having some trouble coping. The only thing I changed about this though was to add him on as an official follower as he is way too powerful as a squire-like character such as Bittercup. So now he's one of the weakest in the followers retinue with Broken Steel, but it's made up by the fact you can get him pretty early and comes with a powerful weapon. I kinda wish he stayed in the Outcast faction when you recruited him, it would be awesome to have a follower you are actually forced to fire halfway through the game forcing you to take a new one. Love this!
