This is exactly what I was looking for. Now Clover can still be my sexy slave and not die every firefight. Seriously, I hated putting her in power armor.
Looking back, I think the two of you are right. Since I created this mod to learn to use the GECK, it could use some (if not many) improvements.
Atten: You might be right about the DR, so I'm thinking about an inbetween way (if that's the right expression). I'll lower the DR slightly and maybe tweak the bonusses a little. But I'm also thinking about adding extra sets with a lower DR (somewhere between 15-24) but adding better bonusses.
And it is as you said: when a raider 1 (weakest type) spawns it has a 1 in 3 chance of spawning an armor with a health of 20/25/30% (IIRC). But now they have a 3 in 4 of spawning their original armor and a 1 in 4 chance of receiving the Improved armor.
Some more original names might be better as well.
Raesear: You're right, but I like the Painspike armor and I like speech :-) For version 0.4 I'll make the different bonusses more appropiate.

I like the idea. The raider armor looks awesome, but runs out of usefulness rather quickly.
One critique: you have Painspike armor giving a speech bonus. If anything, raider armor would make your speech drop due to people being more likely to simply shoot you on sight. I would suggest turning the speech bonus into a melee or unarmed bonus. You are covered with pointy bits after all, and I don't see many diplomats running through the wasteland in raider outfits.
Good idea! I too like the Raiders' armor but it's basicly useless once you start finding combat or even leather armor.
Suggestions... I think you went a little too far with the +DR. I think it would be better if the DR was left as it was normally (or maybe a slight boost, say from 16 to 18-21) and the main benefit came from the +skills. For example, when I went through the game with an unarmed character I used the Hockey Mask for the +5 Unarmed even though I found helmets with much better DR rating. So you could choose between more armor or more skills.
Maybe more variation between what +skills are given? Right now I think all of them give +5-10 to small guns.
These are new armors and Raider will still spawn more often than not with their normal armors right? There are several raider armors in the game with the same stats and looks as the basic raider armors but with different names (Badlands armor and "Hand-Me-Down armor" are the same, Painspike armor and "Sharp Dressed armor" are the same, etc...) These are never used in game though. Maybe instead of 'Improved Painspike Armor' you could give it the name of thse unused armors.
