DESCRIPTION
This is a complete remake of one of my earliest and most dearest mods. Why a complete remake? Because when I made the original mod, I was very enthusiast, but I was also very new. I wanted to do more, but I didn't have the necessary skills. I think this mod deserved more. In this remake I added unique features, compatibility with other mods that weren't compatible with the original version, and gave the mod a completely different approach.
To begin the mission, visit Detective Fields at his shack near one of the buildings in Canterbury Commons.
WHAT'S NEW?
- This mod is now compatible with the mods The D.C. Interiors Project and Another Interior Mod.
- Better redaction and voice acting.
- A completely different story with many scripted events and custom sound effects.
- Detective Joseph Fields, the main character from the original mod, now has a unique new look inspired by Nick Valentine from FO4 thanks to dogtown1 and his mod Monster Mod, which my mod uses some assets from.
NOTES
This mission mod is designed to be played solo. Having companions during this mission will completely ruin the experience. If you want to fully enjoy it, please dismiss any of your companions before starting the mission.
This mod is a complete new remake and is incompatible with my ten years old original version Hunting down the Pint-sized Slasher. If you have installed the old version, uninstall it before install this new one.
BUGS
This mod has many scripted events that have been tested and work as intended. However, some scripts may fail when reloading a save during the quest, and the only solution is to restart the game and load the save for the event to work. There are no powerful enemies that force you to reload a saved game. This is not a combat mod. It's a mod of exploration, dialogue and mystery. I hope you can enjoy the full experience without interruptions.
INSTALLATION
Extract the "Hunting the Pint-sized Slasher.zip" in your Fallout 3 data folder.
