Changelogs
Version 1.1
Small update to replace the messagebox upon equipping an NV-Helmet is with a small floating notification, like used by game hints. MB was for debugging, this is more immersive and needs no confirmation/button press.
Pretty bulletproof, with a small caveat due to engine/script restrictions: When changing from a night vision -enabled helmet to another via equipping right from the Pip-Boy menu, the effect doesn't activate. Unequip and equip again. Also, it may take a moment/a few tries to register key press - that's a combination of engine restrictions I can not yet bypass and conservatism in resource usage by this mod. Wouldn't wanna make your game lag, eh?
This covers Peepers, Chinese Stealth Armor, and Power Helmets
Combat helmets do not have NV (didn't like that)
You can switch colors in all the helmets
And there are no menus. Just a hotkey ('N').
Alternatives: Power Armor Night Vision - has larger choice of NV modes. No idea about the scriptwork or bug reports, though "doesn't work" reports seem LO related. Nightvision Goggles - Powered - looks simple and functional, but seems to cover only the Peepers.
