Wow. I've been troubleshooting FO3 all day to find out why it hangs. I wish I've seen this post earlier. iAimingNumIterations is set to 100000000 in this mod - while the default value is 10. I really don't understand why it has to be so damn high. One guess could be some sort of approximation that this mod pushes through the roof. I'll set it to 1000. Should be enough.
Where did you find this .esp file? I downloaded the mod and encountered the bug, so I just uninstalled NMM completely because I only had that one mod running, and thought it was just glitchy and so I had no use for it. But with just my luck, it still is active and it's completely broken my game. Please reply because I have no clue on what to do, as the original file for the mod is gone. I'm happy to re download anything so I can play again. EDIT: I found the .esp file, I deleted the line iAimingNumIterations and whenever I launch the game from the launcher it completely blacks out and I have to turn off my PC and restart it and I'm now reinstalling the game because that's my last hope.
Hi Everyone. I made a mod that was aimed at doing the same thing while zooming, aimed at Iron Sights users. I have joined this mod with mine, since I dont use the same method for accuracy it doesnt have the freezing issue.
By the way, the freezing seems to be caused by the variables the Santa's mod changes but I havent been able to pin point them. If I find the issue I will also upload a fixed file.
I am sorry to inform you all that I am retiring from the Fallout 3 community
there are various reasons for this; which I don't want to dig deeper into, let's just say that I will never be able to mod this into the game I want it to be
thanks for all the support, suggestions and praise
releasing mods to the Fallout 3 community and the feedback, etc. I've been given has truly been a highlight in my life
anyone is welcome to further modify my mods, as long as I'm given credits (just put my name somewhere)
I still have all the original files, etc. so just P.M. me here or on Bethesda's official forums, if needed
For me, with Fallout3 v1.0.5 it worked fine - no problems at all. But since i updated to the latest patch 1.0.7, i started having the same freezes like other people are reporting.
It happens for Robots, Scorpions, and probably other things (i didn't have the patience to try with other creatures).
Could be, that some of the variables, which are being used for some combat based calculations, or maybe the calculation algorithms have changed with the new patch and with the altered variables it makes a mess.
hey great idea for a mod, but i just cant use it. just about all combat with 2 or more npcs is impossibly jumpy and it was ruining my gaming experience.
sorry i gave your file a nagitive endosment, ive been waiting for some respnce from the editer of this mod but nothing! so yea i cant fix the robot issue...
the lag kerbfrak is talking about is... robots, anytime im around a robot i get like 1 frame a min. i dont know why i tried looking at the robot scripts but didnt see anything wrong, but this s clashing with robots, amazing mod! just needs a small fix

This should be sticky-ed or something.
