i cant get the carbine through commands btw. i put in the right command i found in the esp. also cant wait for the m2 carbine. also please add iron sight compatibility with the RH_Iron sights
Hell yeah! The first firearm I ever owned was a M1 made by Inland in 1943 with all matching parts, love this brother! You should make an optional file for the rifle without the custom dashwood writing on it, that way it could be implemented into leveled lists. Fallout 3 is seriously lacking in cool firerarms that "fit" the setting.
Absolutely no recoil or spread on Dashwoods Rifle its a yeet gun that never misses lol. I found it a bit op for the stated reasons sorry. I killed a deathclaw with it in about 2.8 seconds no VATS with 80 small guns skill and unmissable headshots from decent range, not it a sneak attack either. I've been playing FO3 for 15 years and it just felt a little much like 70% of the unbalanced gun mods on nexus I just hope this isn't going to be another one. Maybe a smaller clip, like 10 and add some spread or recoil? Dunno, thats my humble take anyway as an extreme balance ho, listen or don't its your mod. I haven't tried the other gun yet will update this when I do. Very nice models though always loved this gun in old war movies. Endorsed
Thanks appreciate the feedback! I can definitely upload a reduced damage version And increase the bullet spread. The original values were akin to the hunting rifle that has virtually no spread but has that bolt animation that hampers rate of fire.
Due to the mechanics of fallout 3 the only trade off with more spread is the first shot will have always chance to miss drastically (Think infiltrator / perforator where the projectile goes far off the crosshair). Unfortunately recoil mechanics do not exist in fallout and are tied to animations, but there are mods on here that add great simulated recoil.
The next version will also include a generic version the leveling list, which will be considerably weaker.
