Changelogs
Version 1.0
Initial Mod Creation.
This mod adds new non-radio tracks from Far Cry 1 for you to explore the Capital Wasteland and listen to those sweet tracks simultaneously. This mod mostly consists of combat tracks, but there are some additions to ambient music as well.
It should be noted that in original Far Cry music is really dynamic, therefore in it's files it consists only from small samples and cues. I compiled them into simple tracks, something similar to what you can actually hear in Far Cry itself.
By default this mod doesn't change anything, but you can also download some optional replacers: - Theres is "Success" theme replacer, which plays whenever you level up. - And also there's "Death" theme replacer, which replaces kind of Heroic Death music with something more grounded and neutral.
Also this mod is really simple, since it actually doesn't even use bsp files for anything (except if you use optional files, and even in that case they both change just two sounds). It should be noted, however, that if you already have some kind of custom music expansion (i.e. music from Fallout 1 and Fallout 2 or your own ones), then you'll have to manually change the order of music tracks. It is actually not that hard, just go into your Fallout Directory, then go into Data/Music and then go into Battle, Dungeon and Explore folders. There you can actually find new tracks and change their order so they will be last ones in those folders (i.e, if in Battle folder last track is named Battle_09, then change one of the newly added tracks to Battle_10, and every other track after it following with this logic).
This music is copyright free, if for whatever reason you want to use it on YouTube, you can do it without any unpleasant consequences.
