I seem to be having an issue - the NPCs are present and engaging in dialogue, but I have no audio! Any idea as to what may be causing this? I reinstalled the mod, just in case, but nothing has changed.

Edit - only one group of NPCs has had proper audio - the married couple in Vault 101 talking about maintenance. Every other group has been silent.

Yesterday I found this mod, downloaded it and installed it in the game. In Springewell, near a gas station, I met two raiders, a man and a woman. The man was standing, the woman was sitting. They didn't talk to each other, but when I pressed them, they started talking to me. Near the first house, as you go down from Vault 101, on the left, there were two settlers, a man and a woman, talking to each other. At Springwell School, near the stairs to the second floor, behind the fence where the body parts lay, sat a bound follower of Tempeni-Tower. It should be noted that the dialogue with him was extensive, and not just a line to untie. I didn't go to Vault 101, in the questline, so I can't tell what's there. Maybe it's a problem with installing the mod for you? On the downside, I want to note that the characters talk quietly, unlike the vanilla inhabitants of fallout 3.

Out of curiosity, what's the expected behaviour if adding this mod on a post-Enclave appearance playthrough?

Asking because for now I've seen three pairs of NPCs around Springvale that can't be talked to and are non-hostile (including a couple of raiders at the gas station).

More modded springvale bloat. While the entire western part of the map remains empty.

It's the start of a series. Give it some time, bro.

Yeah this mod crammed like 10 NPCs in springvale, which ruins the atmosphere of the game intro, you are supposed to get this feeling of a desolate wasteland until you walk to megaton.

One of the few things FO3 did better than FNV. More random encounters are always a plus.

Well, they aren't random. I can't specify that enough. They are set encounters.

Yeah, I see that now. Sorry, my reading comprehension skills aren't the best today.

It was my bad, no worries. I do hope to see this series cover some of the more neglected parts of the Capital Wasteland, like maybe Faded Pomp Estates (which is neglected enough on its own in vanilla).

Really great mod! Wish the audio from some of the characters were louder though. This will definitely stay in my load order! Endorsed.

Yeah, I wish I was an effective audio engineer. But I'm not. Sorry!

If anything I think the Encounters series will benefit FO3 much more than FNV. Fallout 3 may have a lot of places to explore, but it always felt like it had far less NPCs to talk to than New Vegas.

    Thank you, kvatchcount!
