The funny thing is that it really isn't the engine. It's the coding that the company does which leads to a very unpolished game. Hense Fo3, FNV, and you get the idea. Although it's the same engine used for Skyrim which is relatively stable I said RELATIVELY. Since it obviously has issues.
I really like this idea. Having it in real time is great, and the fade to black better simulates the idea of dying imo, like your char's "shutting their eyes" or so.
