Another idea you can try is to add a popup choice that allows the Players to select the DLC they want to play as a result only chosen DLC assets will show up in the game or triggerless elements of the DLCs will remain. The advantage is that mods that require all DLC can still be added to the game.

Good show, Zeta is the wrost DLC. There's also Zeta No Abduction which skips the mod entirely (or until you want to play it by removing the mod plugin). Of course that'd also mean not accessing any of the goodies up there (except a small amount at Adams AFB in Broken Steel).

They should've made Zeta like Anchorage in the sense you don't have to start that if you simply stray too close (and then be forced to reload an earlier save and stow your gear, or constantly try to stay clear of the crash site etc). They could've just had a rescue transponder left there by a surviving crewman who had beamed up, whose button you can press to beam up too if and when you ever wanted to.

Thank you for trying out this. i didn't know about Zeta No Abduction mod. I agree with you, Zeta crash site is a lazy way to make the entrance, but maybe it's suitable for the idea about alien's been kiddnapping people for years.

Yes, the quest entrance was meant to be more "immersive" - our hero gets abducted too. But it makes little sense if you think about it, for the ship's crashed and now crewless/dead, and clearly can't abduct anyone. And in classic UFOlogy it's these smaller craft that do the abducting and not some mothership up in high orbit. But I'm sorry, I didn't mean to infer skipping Somah etc. All I meant was how the beam-up's initiated - my idea would be after pressing it, aliens overseeing the beam-up see you aren't Zetan (or you arrive in their transporter room and alarms & isolation field immediately go up), so they zap you and then you still wake up in an abductee's cell. But I doubt they'd fix it 15yrs later... And imagine it'd be an effort to mod it, but at least we now have some workarounds. Cheers.
