I would like if the mod was in reverse and the guardians outside just killed the beggars because I cannot wait for the ones in my save game to die outta thirst, I hate them they refuse to get a job they are just lazy they dont just drink water then eventually move on to find a job.
naw its legit, the wasteland literally is just what you make of it and rather than wasting away like worms they are they could instead actually try to do smth about rather than wait for someone else to solve THEIR problem
Not a bad idea, especially, yes, for paranoid Harkness who clearly trying to prevent any threat or danger to River City. Will use your mod at current playthrough just for the sake of logic addition in game world. But also would like to point developers fail with beggar at Tenpenny Tower. I agree with you, but should point that this beggar doesn't make much sense in this location. They literally didn't invite anyone from Wasteland in tower nor help someone from wastes, all people know restrictions and what people live there, so why beggar even went to Tenpenny in the first place to get water. For me it didn't make much sense at all.
Beggar outside of Tenpenny is there partly as that place contains the wealthiest folks in DC, but also because the 3 beggar locations are the two vanilla player home locales and the map's main marketplace, with the beggars positioned as easy-to-find karma banks.
But I doubt Rivet or Megaton would care about them - after all, they're happy to let them literally die of thirst outside their entrances.
Now that I think about it the Tenpenny beggar not needing to be there at all making a lot of sense. I have uploaded an optional file with him completely removed. It uses the same esp name so you can delete the main one :) Thank you for using my mod!
Yes, but after Broken Steel events beggars added another ridiculous dialogue about "They didn't give aqua pura to everyone". I agree and understand that these locations are player homes and methods to acquire karma but from world building perspective very strange.
Only megaton and rivet city can make sense as theyre locations with relative safety given outside so beggars can take shelter where as Tenpenny is entirely isolated so dangers are more likely to lurk outside. That beggar wouldnt have made it in the long run so I added an optional to yoink him out the game completely. As for karma, it always looked like a cheap way to gain it back so removing a single karma cheat point is of no consequence whatsoever.
Oh, I don't care about the karma myself, just trying to explain why they're where they are. But also, minor spoilers: Willy is outside of Tenpenny because he was a residency candidate - but they wouldn't let him enter and he's half mad with rage, was on his last legs and simply unable to go anywhere else. Unless you give him pure water he dies - even if you give him aqua pura (though UUF3P might've tweaked that). Carlos got away from the nearby Mutant camp but Rivet won't let him enter despite he too is slowly dying. Micky escaped from the raiders at Springvale but Megaton won't admit him, he too is slowly dying - they aren't faking! That's why this mod, though very well intentioned, doesn't make a lot of sense, sorry. As for Aqua Pura, no the BoS don't just hand it out to anyone! That's why the beggars say what they say (if still alive by then) for it's very strictly rationed, as demonstated in a plot spoiler I'll hide:
Spoiler:

In Broken Steel you have to mediate (or fail, or take sides) in at least one big confrontation that can leave some Megaton dead or even leave Big Town short of water, depending on which of a few different outcomes.
But ignoring that you've a potential serious issue which I can't go into without another significant plot spoiler, so will hide it:
Spoiler:
Show
Micky, outside Megaton, later gets killed during Broken Steel, by Rosa Meitner giving him "holy" irradiated water, and you're supposed to witness it and then she runs up to you and tells you about it to start the Holy Water quest. If she's deemed to have killed him the robot or Sheffield might kill her before she speaks to you. Have you tested this?
A lesser potential problem is Micky & Carlos can very easily get caught in your crossfire if the Talon attack you at those places (which can and does happen), which if they're aligned would then presumably pit all of Rivet or Megaton against you too.
So please understand I'm not just naysaying your mod on some whim, and hope you've tested these potential issues. And btw folks, in my two playthrus, none of the beggars made it to the end of the game, despite my giving each of them at least one pure water.
Hyia Ama! Hope all is well with you. I've moved to FNV modding last week as I'm pretty much done modding F3 but I'm still catching irregularities with this one here and there so love will always be given :D
