      All the vanilla foods will work perfectly fine, but some custom foods I added will need a patch to work.

   Unless you pick this perk at level 1 specifically, It locks you out of the functionality forever.
   Make It a perk available FROM level 1, not JUST AT level 1.

      The first image in the images section for my mod show me taking the perk at level 4. I don't know what could be causing this issue for you.
