Would it at all be possible to get a version of this animation that doesn't brick the functionality? Ideally something similar to other containers, like the door of the mailbox opens when you open the container, and it shuts when you exit the container.
As for ideas for completely new projects... I don't really know. I'm great at making changes and adjustments to things that have already been started, but I'm not creative enough to come up with brand new ideas most of the time.
Maybe something with the Underworld Sculpture? Like having it rotate slowly to give the viewer a good angle of the whole thing without having to run in circles around it?
yeah I might get around to looking into that, probably the reason it go cut lol, they made the mail boxes equpivelent to harvesting plants lol. it shoudnt be any problem. as for the sculptures in the underworld, I can only remember the mammoth off the top of my head.
That's actually really bizarre... Harvestable plants don't even act as containers. You just activate them, and an item is added to your inventory. Maybe at some point they intended for mailboxes to behave similarly? Like interacting with them would give you a random junk item, or a note for your pipboy if you didn't already have it? Who knows.
The sculpture I was referring to was this one which you can see in the main lobby of Underworld. Like I said though, it's not a very creative idea. Whatever you decide to animate next, I look forward to it.
oh hello linygami, super sorry I didn't reply D: . yeah its rather strange. no one knows what strange ideas they had, lol. harvestable mail boxes doesn't sound like a bad idea, defiantly when it could be random quest starter notes. I don't own fallout 3 atm, so I probably will not get around to this any time soon. and again, super sorry for not replying. :D
