Firstly I'd disagree because Beksinki's art is far too modern/abstract looking, but you're maybe missing the point. For these are better quality like-for-like replacers for the actual paintings that FO3 put in the game. And the place wasn't named Underworld by ghouls nor themed as such. It's a special exhibition that happened to be on tour at the time the bombs fell, and is called "Underworld Journey: an exhibit on death and the afterlife". The stated purpose of the exhibition (according to the wiki and to game notes) was to showcase different civilisations views of the afterlife (mainly of hell, given the "Underworld" title) through world famous classic works of art. And anyway, that phase of Beksinki's art isn't even about anything as deep as religion or the afterlife, nor does he even explore ideas about facing our mortality per se - they're just his apparent attempts to picture his dreams more generally about decay in nature.
Btw, the ghouls were only driven into hiding in the museum around 2030 (according to NPC Winthrop). The fact the exhibit there is coincidentally themed about the afterlife is a bit of intended FO3 dark humour prob deemed ironically fitting for (and by) the ghouls!
Thanks. I couldn't find that Botticelli's painting in Creative Commons Google search, so I wasn't sure if it's copyrighted. I found out it is public domain just after I finished the mod. I plan to replace it when I have some free time.

Not to nit-pick, but was there any particular reason you replace that one painting though?

It's public domain and all that jazz.
