It's a very useful mod. But, there is something that worries me. If I purchase all the ammo, does the Merchant option of the terminal have the capacity to restock the ammo again?
I cannot figure out how to install this mod, been trying for a while now. I just have the basic fallout 3 so I download v3_6, any tips? I've just added it to the Data directory. This part: Add PersonalTerminal.esm to your "C:\Documents and Settings\%UserName%\Local Settings\Application Data\Fallout3\plugins.txt" file. I have no idea what it's talking about or what to do, so I skipped it.
Can't say I like this mod anymore. It worked perfectly fine the first time I installed it. I had it in my pipboy. After starting a new game and ever since, it won't show up in my pipboy. And I am using v4.1. Oh well. I've disabled and enabled this mod many times. I don't see any conflicts with other mods either. It simply just stopped working completely.
Great alternative to fiddling with the cmd console. I barely use it, but I like having it. Just changed the theme of my house. I could've just added the needed caps for the purchase, but I found that doing that kinda ruins the game, in a way that is probably hard to explain. I quit Fallout 3 many years ago because I ruined my own experience by screwing with cheat codes, cheapening the experience incorrigibly. I broke the game, in my mind that is. Now I'm back doing a straight run, mostly straight anyway.
No computer object in my Megaton house though, which is fine, I have the portable version. Just an observation.
The computer terminals in both the Megaton and Tenpenny player homes were "removed" in ver 4.1, according to the Changelog on the main page. If I remember correctly from some random "tcl"ing in the Megaton home, the terminal was actually moved beyond the interior wall, not actually removed. This was most likely to preserve functionality of the mod.
I installed this mod on my Steam deck and it works well.
Your directory paths may be different due to storage differences.
I dropped the .esp in this directory. /run/media/mmcblk0p1/steamapps/common/Fallout 3 goty/Data/
Then I added the name to the plugins.txt in this directory /home/deck/.local/share/Steam/steamapps/compatdata/22370/pfx/drive_c/users/steamuser/AppData/Local/Fallout3/
If you are willing to use console codes to get it, you could actually go back into Vault 101 and collect it from your dresser. If the main door does not open for you, you can use tcl to get passed it, and unlock will get you through the one or two locked doors that are in the way. After that, just head down to your old room and grab the items from your dresser. At most, you should only have some rad roaches to contend with, no NPCs. Why yes, I have done this a number of times myself. Why do you ask? Normally, I would have mentioned that you could just get another personal terminal from either Mr. Burke's Megaton home, or "Daring" Dashwood's apartment in Tenpenny Towers, but I am currently not sure that those locations have the password as well.
So i made my character have unlimited carry weight and now im trying to undue it and i cant...... i uninstalled the mod and everything... please add an undue button or explain how i can fix this anywhere in the files... thank you
Given the fact that the original author has not interacted on this mod page for at least a year now, I think the chances of any changes being implemented are 0. With that said, the only way I know of to correct the use of "unlimited carry weight", is to either go back to a save from before you used that, or start a new game. Console code could be used as a work around, but that is not an ideal solution.

Edit:
I found it, nvm.
