Thanks for the kind words! I try to only cover things that haven't been done yet. Most of the Chimera Tank textures are covered by Charge's FNV HD Texture Packs. I highly recommend to check it out as FO3 and NV have a lot of asset overlap, and most of those AI upscales came out really good. The Albino Radscorpion is not included there though, and is on my list of things to do!
@Phlunder Do you have any idea if a retexture for the Bloatfly has been made yet? If not, you could add that to your list of work to do! It's only a single texture :)
@chicagoasylum I see you've mentioned the Chimera Tank, do you happen to know if there are retextures for the Spider Drone, from Operation Anchorage? This one in specific are not covered by some well-known texture packs, curiously.
Thank you! I use that texture pack myself for FNV. I'll look it over once more to see if I can find the specific ones I need that aren't covered in Fo3. Can't wait for the radscorpion :D
@MOJskyrim I mentioned them specifically coming from your wonderful guide ;D I customized mine really heavily building from your foundation. however the one you mention is missing sadly and good catch, I didn't notice spider drone needs a retex either. I've also checked you got a bunch of weapons that lack retex. This mod here from FNV section covers all Fo3 weapons specifically in either 2k or 4k you may interested as it covers every other weapon that's not retextured https://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/67729
By the way, I'm revisiting the missing retextures list right now and I just realized the Giant Radscorpion uses the default Radscorpion texture, so it has already been retextured, and the Support Drone from MSZ has been retextured as well and is actually present in two different texture packs in my guide, i just didn't realize the file names for it are different (maintenancerobot.dds, etc). I have updated the list for the next guide update.
About that mod, it covers the same things the Hall of Weapons mod does... Except it uses upscaling instead of sharpening. I personally think the Hall of Weapons mod still looks better. Even though very close up the textures might look somewhat grainy, they still look more detailed and pleasing to the eye overrall. So that mod would be redundant in the guide. But thanks for the recommendation!
Goes to show no matter how many times we look we may think it's covered or not but the total oposite happens. But good to know, I need to look at the files a bit better. Personally I removed Hall of Weapons/Armors for upscaled textures because I wasnt a fan of sharpening but that's the beauty of modding. Each to their own :D All must be left is that blasted bloatfly and chimera tank if I find it in Chargens pack then. I also saw you got MZ support drone as missing but that's covered by Mothership Zeta DLC Retextured already ^^ Otherwise it all checks out.
Both the Chimera Tank and the Spider Drone have been included in Phlunder's new Operation Anchorage 2K pack! I think we better stop asking and just wait too see what comes next lol
