About this mod
Adds new gear for Talon Company mercs without straying too far from the vanilla design.
- Permissions and credits
There are two versions of the mod to download; One version features only the items, the other will add standard equipment to Talon Company
mercenary leveled lists. Please only select one .esp as they will interfere with one another if both activated.
Presented here are some new armor and apparel items for Talon Company mercs, with
the intent to diversify the average soldier's look while still
maintaining vanilla aesthetic. These items are intended for male
characters and do not have full support for females, as there are no
females in Talon Company(except dead ones). You may also check the
images, but I will list the additions here:
Headgear
-Talon Company boonie hat~(Black)
~(Scout camo variant)
-Talon Company infantry cap
-Talon issue skullcap
-Talon issue ski mask & goggles(new mesh, not the anchorage balaclava)
-Talon combat helmet texture adjustment~(White damage splotches removed)
Armor
-Sleeved Talon combat armor
-Talon issue fatigues
-Talon scout camo outfit
Misc
-Talon issue canvas backpack~(Black)
-Black fingerless gloves come with the sleeved combat armor, but can be used
individually with other outfits by grabbing the glove IDs with
player.showinventory
Leveled Lists
Beginning from rank 1, all mercs will have a 40% chance to spawn with a backpack, as well as a 75% chance to spawn with any non-camouflage light
headgear. Starting at level 10, Talon combat helmets will begin
spawning. Items from every list will scale in repair quality to player
level.
Known issues
The mod will be incompatible with any other mod that edits Talon Company armor or leveled lists. Also, some of the hats will clip if you have a gigantic forehead. Sorry to the people with watermelon noggins
The scout/camo items are obviously not entirely lore friendly, the design is based around
British/ANZAC jungle kits of the 60s and 70s. They will not be added to
common leveled lists with the other items, but I'll find some kind of
application for them.
I made the camouflage based off of the Russian VSR and modified the coloration to
match Talon Company's colors. I chose to use VSR simply because it's a
good camo and blends well. just in case anyone was curious.
And yes, I will eventually release the skin camo paint, just want to fix some wonky areas and finalize it before i do.
Meshes and textures were edited by myself in NifSkope, Blender, and GIMP.
