    Greetings,

Can someone PLEASE tell me where I can find the books Das Kapital & Wealth of Nations for Scrib Fowler.
I have literally spent 2 irl days racking my brain searching and still can't find them.
Alternatively, at this point I would be VERY glad if someone had the item id’s so I can cc them into my inventory.

    THANK you in advance.
    Live long and prosper.
    Cheers

      Greetings,

Since originally posting the question I have found Das Kapital, still need Wealth of Nations book.
I had a response to this same query over on the TTW mod, he kindly provided both item id's & locations.
Unfortunately, the id numbers must differ in the TTW version because none of them worked.(he still received a Kodo for his kindness)
As far as the location in my game, table on Tenpenny balcony, disappointed the book was NOT there.
So if there's anyone else still on the original FO3 who has the Wealth of Nations item id's, PLEASE share.
We have done goggle/youtube searches on any conceivable possibility, absolutely blown away there is NOTHING in regards to these three books or the quest that actually helps.
Amazing how such an unimportant side quest can be such a huge pain in the @ss!

      Thank you in advance.
      Live long and prosper.
      Cheers.

Having now played a lot of this mod (dealt with Outcasts, Vault 87, invested several sites) I've decided to uninstall. Why? See spoiler:
    Spoiler:
    Show
Firstly, it feels extremely unrealistic to suddenly be a Field Marshal with far more people, troops, airforce, resources, equipment, and comforts at my behest than Elder Lyons could have ever dreamed of - and then some! In short, like most big mods, it's over-ambitious. Enthusiastic in intent yet somewhat insufficient logic and undercooked in presentation - and now an abandoned WIP (at least on FO3).

But I won't be loading up TTW just for this either. For Rebuild the Capital is way too easy in some parts - the amounts of money required are unrealistically tiny and yet you also get big dollops of taxes to spend! And then don't have to cover any wages or overheads!! And the squad you can call on of course makes fights far too easy and pointless so I left them behind. And yet some other aspects are overly difficult - eg, I had 100 speech and boosted my charm to 10 and yet I still failed a speech check with Casdin on the mission to gain a truce with the Outcasts. I also suffered some glitches and crashes. And there were some other oddities, such as way back in the early game (i.e., long before starting Rebuild), the very first time I ever got to Paradise Falls, a Rebuild the Capital field medic was already there!

It would've been far more realistic/gritty to just work through Lyons to do missions, investments & upgrades over time, with you having the difficult challenge to raise most of the resources yourself - after all, the BoS was already very stretched and hard pressed, and gaining two destroyed Enclave bases won't change that metric any time soon, let alone instantly (a "3 months later" message) as the mod puts it.

Then there's too much lore tweaking - i.e. the option to make BoS friendly to ghouls but without any creative leaps to make it potentially even half-believable. For example, one could've added helping Underworld's doc to recover Enclave FEV stuff so if reverse/re-engineered it might one day stop feral-stage, then convince BoS to a temporary truce (not kill non-ferals) to allow the doc time to do the research. But no, all we get is "hey, can we be part of the BoS rebuild?" Yes/No - and then (yawn) an enemy spawner to fight folks who are against this.

I slightly edited the above while building my Keepers mod list on Nexus aimed at newbies but could be a core list or ideas for others.

If you do push ahead with this mod you should also be reminded of the very important issue the author already stated at the outset - i.e. this mod touches lots of things/cells so would be a conflict magnet. Thus I definitely couldn't recommend this mod for newbies, nor, imho, recommend it for anyone else - at least in its current state which is abandoned yet also still a bit of a work-in-progress.

Maybe the author will return to backport later TTW updates/fixes (or allow another capable modder - alas far beyond my skills or interest). Because there's a lot of work and honest intent behind this mod's concept. But reading the TTW version it's not in the direction of the more lore-realistic mod I'd wish it to be. And, having done a playthru of TTW v3.3.2, imho, TTW is (overall) inferior to playing & modding FO3 & FNV separately (for many reasons - see a sticky post at my link above if interested in why I feel that way).

Cool. I'd say aside from glitches (and big potential for conflicts) this mod seems popular - I can't think why (except it's big and the idea behind it is a good one) and many gamers either don't care about balance, lore or "realism", or endorse before finishing it. But of course check out other users' opinions. There's youtube vids too - most are for the TTW version but here is a 13-part FO3 walkthru.

Damn! When i accept the quest for unification between the outcasts and the BOS. After finishing the quest and i get back to fort independence. The Bos attack the Outcasts. And the two groups kill each other. How can this be prevented????? WIth the mod still active. Cause i will be forced to remove it! Why not spare the Brotherhood outcasts???

It's too bad that this mod is no longer supported and if you want a supported version you'd have to play the TTW version. Really wish that you could come back to this version and update it sometime.

For real! I just found out that operation Thornton is not implemented even though you can select it from the command terminal, of course it's too late now to start another game from scratch on TTW and complete it again.
Really wish someone could update it with the new content.

I've noticed the knight sergeant troop you can have following you around isn't actually attacking my enemies. Is there a way to fix this?

I am loving Rebuild the Capital! At first I didn't know how to make the quests begin, but I stumbled upon the answer to this one day. Maybe there is correspondence in the readme or something, but I'm glad I stumbled upon how RTC starts by accident.
