This mod allows you to hire Wadsworth as a follower after the appropriate upgrade has been purchased.

He has the benefit of being set to essential and requiring little maintenance on the part of the player. Standard follower dialogue options have been added as well as some conversation topics, all voiced.
When hired, you will receive Wadsworth's "Handy Medic" perk. Simply talk to Wadsworth and he will heal you automatically if your health is low enough (can be done once per day).

Wadsworth is not a particularly strong combatant, but he does have some extra attacks:

Long Range Flamer - In addition to the standard flamer, he can also launch long-range fire projectiles.
Flame Burst attack - Wadsworth can launch this special attack if he has flamer fuel in his inventory.
Shock Buzzsaw - This electric attack will send enemies flying.
Critical Failure - If Wadsworth's health drops below 50% there is a 10% chance he will explode when hit.

You can use Wadsworth's control console to send him off for repairs. Crouching while activating the console will give you Wadsworth's Beacon (only after he has been upgraded). The beacon only works from a long distance.
 
Other changes include:

- You can now send him away to buy some food, drinks or medical supplies at a cost of 50 caps.
- He has been given a spiffy new hat and some new greetings, if you are either nude or wearing a vault suit etc.
- Make him scrub the mens toilets (just kidding)
