Common terminals dont require a plugin to work. Only BOS, Outcasts and Enclave terminals require the plugin. If you dont use the plugin, all terminals will use Robco screen saver.
Due to my Fallout 3 copy is in Spanish, which is my language, some words will be changed randomly to Spanish. If someone wants to make a TTW version, you've got my permission. Remember to give me the proper credit.
Thank you, AtomicTem07 and AZagrebelnyy for your support.
File (C): Green Hud Colors for Terminal Screen Savers
Does what, matches the colours on the animations to be the same as your HUD and/or your PIP Boy ? (I can't remember if the HUD & PIP Boy colours are linked.)
08 March 2019, 11:52PMTranslated everything to English. Replace esp with this one. Update: translated everything in the museum of history which I missed.
AtomicTEM's file is named "AnimatedTerminalScreenSavers", instead of "Animated Terminal Screen Savers", so Mod Organiser 2 recognises it as a different mod. So in my MO2 I have two mods: "AnimatedTerminalScreenSavers.esp" and "Animated Terminal Screen Savers.esp".
I assume instead of having both activated in my mod manager I should manually open both of the folders, and just delete
"AnimatedTerminalScreenSavers.esp", and "meta.ini"
from your Animated Terminal Screen Savers.esp" mod,
and replace them with the equivalents found in AtomicTEM's file.
For anyone else who's looking for clear instructions. I'll edit this once I've tested them.
I just realized that most of my favorites mods are yours, and I really love all of them.
And now I understant why some parts of my DC are in spanish. I also have some french mods, so I just solved the language problem by imagining that it is due to the cosmopolitan and multicultural nature of the city, or the sign of a massive amount of mexican and canadian refugees after the Great War.
With the esp enabled this mod changes some of the in game terminal names to their Spanish translation. Without the esp all terminals have the basic 'Robco' screen saver.
Can you make this affect 'wall-mounted' terminals too?
Pro Tip: When using any of the authors mods, that require an esp file... you will need to open up the mod in xxxEdit and edit out the Spanish translations. A simple drag and drop back to your language is all that's needed. Save and quit. Easy. It's actually important to do this, as not doing so will most likely gen. up critical conflicts with other mods... possibly making your game unstable. However, if your game is already in Spanish, then disregard this post. ^^
Yes, you need to do this for *almost every* mod by this mod author. Same problems found in BOS Zeppelins, Monorails etc...
EDIT: Amaccurzer - could you maybe sticky Cephaler's comment on every mod of yours? I think it's a good idea for users to know that a mod they are downloading could potentially have critical conflicts, and should know how to fix the issue by themselves.
Talking about mods conflicts, I have installed mods in English, French, Italian and Spanish and I have never had a conflict except for the language "issues", thing I personally do not consider an issue. This site main language can be English but there is people from all nations, which makes this site multicultural. Though, whenever there is any mod causing a conflict because of the language or any other bug that can be solved by the user, there are always other users that provide a solution being respectful and not discouraging the mod author, which is most appreciated. This way, everyone makes his share and the mod author has more time to keep creating because we do this in our free time. We all here also have a real life and a real work to take care of
You're basically saying, if something is not an issue for you then it's not an issue for anyone else either. Sorry, but that's not how it works. Why are the terminal names and entries changed in this mod to begin with? This mod is only supposed to switch the screens, meaning only meshes and textures should be involved. This is clearly an oversight which not the user should be fixing. It also changes worldspace names too.
Now don't get me wrong, I like how the screens are changed, but if every modder used your excuse to not care about things like this, it would very quickly kill any chance of having quality mods. There's a reason there are so many translation plugins uploaded. And they are always separate from the main mod.
I was going to endorse, but after reading the sticky and the other replies I've decided not to. A shame.
Dont get me wrong, if the mod would have a critical conflict, I would fix it. But if the mod has not cIritical conflict or bugs, only the language issue, I cannot create a version for every language in the world to please the language preferences of every user in Nexus. As I said, there are users here from every part of the world. This is something that each user has to work out and change to whatever his language is. Also, if the mod has conflict or is incompatible with another mod, there is nothing I can do about it either. This is something that the user has to fix if he wants to run both mods. My only concern is that the mod works along with the game and if it does I am fullfilling my purpose. For this reason, there are users who dedicate to make compatibility patches and translations. My language is Spanish and my Fallout 3 version is in Spanish, so my mods will change some words to Spanish. If this is an issue for any user he has two options. Use it as it is (that is what I do) or go to FO3 edit and fix it. I hope everybody understand this and dont get offended. PD: You cannot say that a mod that works is not a quality mod only because is not in your mother language. Nexus have gathered people from every corner of this planet in a community to get along and work together despite our language differences. Be a part and make your share doing constructive criticism and maybe, if you fill encouraged, patches and translations. I'll be here to help you and share what I've learnt.
Nice little discovery... if you're using a mod like "Terminals Use HUD Color", the screen will still use the color you selected. These screen savers apply over the top of any color you are using. Looks pretty cool too.

Made by Atomic, does what, translates the odd Spanish word into english ?
Is File (D) incorporated into the base mod, or do I need to install AtomicTEM07's fix as well ?
Here's where AtomicTEM07 posted File (D):

Thanks for the mod, great idea, I just want to know what needs to be installed
2- Install Update.
3- Install optional file if you dont like the green textures included in the Main File.
4- Install translation patch created by AtomicTEM.
