But somehow it doesnt occur to me that an Enclave group, any Enclave group, would look on these ragtag rabble, from raider boss down to slaves, with any favor. That is the main reason I dont do a similar mod (to this one) for TTW. The inside vision is just too clashing~
But surely if you just don't like the logic of the mod's backstory, change it for yourself. Don't forget Ashur was BoS, and during The Scourge the BoS themselves took in 20 local children as initiates.
Let's say Ashur takes in or connects with BoS Outcasts (who would know of the Pitt of course) and any Enclave remnants. For as far as he's concerned, Lyons' BoS abandoned him, and his willingness to use slaves shows he's more of a pure BoS/Outcast than a Lyons type. And so he's likely to be receptive to Outcasts and even Enclavers if for no other reason that they too are Lyons' enemies and he needs help run his slave mills (or say Enclave business partners/customers seeking much of the raw materials the mills produce for their own military projects).
To a proper Enclave, a BOS member is just a wasteland boy playing in their father's clubhouse pretending (according to Eden's broadcast in DC).
A proper Enclave man (or woman) is supposed to be raised in an Enclave, educated in Enclave propaganda to go out and kill for America. PURE prewar America, mind, not post apocalyptic America which some ignoramus in NCR claiming they are. Something like BBQ men, women, wastelanders, ghouls in broad daylight right out in the open for all to see is just a breakfast exercise~
So an ex-BOS? a deserted BOS? Yeah, another wastelander to Enclaves~
