Introduction
This mod adds a scratch-made Jatimatic SMG to the wasteland. The Jatimatic is an odd submachine gun designed and built in Finland from 1983 to 1986. It uses an open-bolt, delayed blowback mechanism that utilises an off-axis bolt to both control recoil and delay the opening of the action, much like the French MAS-38. The gun was intended to be used by security guards, undercover police, and bodyguards, and thus needed to be compact yet controllable. However, the SMG had three flaws which prevented it from being commercially successful: the lack of a shoulder stock, the sling swivel which doubled as the disassembly lever, and the fact that the gun could only be fired with the forward grip extended. Only about 400 guns were produced before the project was abandoned. Nevertheless, the guns had a reputation for being unusually accurate and controllable due to the strangely angled barrel-bolt interface.
