Grimworld: A Gritty, Cinematic ReShade Preset

I was unhappy with the performance and stability compromises inherent to running an ENB, so I made a preset for ReShade 3.4.1... which might seem counter-intuitive.

Grimworld is inspired by phenomenal ENBs like Pilgrim for Fallout 4, though I share ZERO of L00's or TreyM's massive

Requirements
Permissions and credits
Fallout 4 has some awesome presets, like STALKER Lights and Pilgrim. The issue I have with those presets is that they convey an overly harsh tone to a game that is really not very grim or unwelcoming. Fallout 3, on the other hand, has my favorite setting and atmosphere for a Fallout game ever. There are a few presets that work in Fallout 3, but none of them had the gritty, cinematic, grimness I was looking for...

So using ReShade's latest framework, I set about making my own preset. This is a more balanced preset if you only use reshade, but I strongly recommend using these settings alongside Gopher's superb Imaginator tool. Screenshots will show the difference between the ReShade preset with and without Imaginator settings enabled.

Please feel free to leave comments for how I can improve this. I liked it, and found it frustrating to wrestle with all , so if this just isn't your personal preference, that's fine.

Do keep in mind that I'm basically useless in this whole thing, and only managed to piece together the works of other, more talented people to achieve this look. Of course without their work none of this wonderful world of modding would be possible. If you feel I've left credit out where it's due, please let me know.

If you're familiar with ReShade you won't need any help installing this, but if you're new follow the below instructions. Note this won't work with older versions of ReShade or SweetFX.

INSTALLATION

1. Download the preset and drop Grimworld.ini in your Fallout 3 root folder.

2.Download ReShade 3.4.1, follow its standard installation procedure. BE SURE TO CLICK "YES" WHEN IT ASKS YOU IF YOU WANT TO DOWNLOAD A LIST OF STANDARD EFFECTS

2. After you've gotten confirmation from ReShade's automatic installer that it "Succeeded!" installing to Fallout 3, launch the game.

4. In game, follow the ReShade tutorial. If you don't see a grey bar at the top of your game with ReShade, it hasn't installed correctly. Once all the effects are loaded, just follow the tutorial. You don't have to do anything except hit "Continue" and select an ini- SEE NEXT STEP

5. Select "Grimworld.ini" from the drop-down list above the effects window, and hit reload

6. VERY IMPORTANT FOR PERFORMANCE: Ensure you go to "Settings" in the in-game ReShade GUI, and change the mode from "Configuration" to "Performance"

And that's it! You should be running my preset.

To achieve the exact same look that I have, you'll also need Gopher's Imaginator and Cinematech with the following settings:

Cinematech Settings:
Rich Color/Blue Shadows
John Wayne's Slow Shutter
Marcurio's Marvelous Mod low, emittor speed Fast (Low Blur)
