Does this conflict with FWE? I don't have any other mods that add water purifiers besides one that allows me to have the same setup at Tenpenny Suite and actually make it a suite but I don't think that's causing it. I seem to have the typical red triangle but with a piece of pipe added. Plus I was able to buy two water purifiers from Moira in Megaton. It doesn't say anything about FWE having household water purifiers but I'mma check by uninstalling this and then seeing if that fixes it. I'll let you know how it goes

EDIT: Nope. Idk what mod is causing this but Imma go through my purifier mods or mods that have purifiers and see what's what

Yeah, this mod just uses vanilla art assets, so missing-mesh indicators like that would be from a different mod.

I like the simplicity, especially if you live in Megaton or Tenpenny.Your home robot butler can purify water, why not a separate unit as well? The only improvement I can identify is maybe limit how much it can do in a time frame, or require changing filters or a component. That is, unless, the robot butler does it for you sight unseen. I like it as is, however! There are other variations out there for people to choose from. I do like your other mods.

That would be because "Cloudy Water" is not in the base game, but added by some other mod you must be using.

Yes perfectly understandable. I attempted to modify the scripts to also check for and work with Cloudy Water, however GECK tells me that the ObjectID im attempting to use for the Cloudy Water is invalid and wont compile my scriptz.

How do i get a proper object ID for cloudy water? im unable to find it in geck and can only click on bottles of cloudy water in my game?

      Any help plz!!!

You shouldn't need the FormID. However you will need to know how to work with multiple masters, some or all of which are esps rather than esms.

A big part of that is temporarily "esmifying" esp files so that the GECK doesn't choke on them when you try to use them as masters; setting the esm flag in the esp's header, using FO3Edit. The FO3Edit training manual should help you there.

Thanks for the tips - much appreciated.

But I just can't find where the damn Cloudy Water comes from - how can I find it in GECK or FO3Edit?

If it was me, I'd open my entire load order in FO3Edit and expand the "ingestible" (or whatever) list of records in plugins that seem likely culprits, and look for the record in question there. It doesn't seem like there would be too many likely culprits to sift through.

You mentioned clicking on "cloudy water" objects in-game before - with the console up, I'm assuming you mean. The first two digits on the FormID you get when you do that should be the position of the plugin they're from in your load order. Match that position to the plugin using FO3Edit or a mod manager, and there you go; that's another method.

where is this in the megaton house? When i download it my game crashes and I'm curious if its conflicting with another mod I have installed. Would it conflict with the mirelurk tank?

It's been a very long time since I last played FO3 - and even longer since I made this mod - so my memory may be faulty, but I think it was near the locker/s on your left as you enter.

It's extremely unlikely that it being in the same physical spot as something added by another mod would cause a crash, though. I've had no reports of crashes with this mod at all, in fact.

    @antistar,
Discovered this mod while browsing over the other stuff you have done. Great idea. Its in a very convenient place in the house and works great. Thanks for adding this to the game. I have this in the Mini Hideout by Rayek but if I happen to be in Megaton at the time then I will just purify my water there. Endorsed!

FSBDavy: Thanks for the suggestion; it's been a long time since I've modded for FO3 though, and even longer since I made this mod in particular, so it's unlikely, sorry.

Excellent, works perfectly, looks realistic enough and doesn't get in the way! Endorsed.

I request for if you ever have a moment with nothing better to do(!!!) a more hardcore version. With so many of the eating mods such as IMCN adding bottling of water, this becomes a virtual god item! Perhaps instead of instant unlimited purification, one where it takes 24 hours to purify a limited batch? Or requiring rad away? Or both, if you really want to make my game hard !!!!
Please note this is not in any way a criticism. Just a rainy day request!

andrewb_8: Vanilla FO3 only has 'Dirty Water' and 'Purified Water'; the "Good Water" you mention must be from another mod.

Snakexdude11: When you take into account all the items from all the possible themes for the player homes, there isn't much free space left - and that dictated where I was able to place the purifiers.
