I liked the city very much. The entourage at the main gate was somewhat reminiscent of the game of oblivion. And, when I went inside, Skyrim, Dwemer ruins. The author of the mod did a very good job. This is probably the only location mod that I will save in my mod collection. Leaving the city took me to Fort Benistère, where there is a small puddle with barrels and an overturned truck. Those were exciting moments of my game. Thank you. I took a photo if anyone is looking for a place. I will also add that based on the size of the city, few people lived there. You can make a lot of interesting things out of this mod. Most likely, the city of ghouls could look just like that.
The navmeshs are correct, but the city was attacked by slaves, and the inhabitants were killed or captured, and the survivors fled the secret passage ... Restoring the inhabitants means changing the history of the city itself
Yeah, I read about it. It would be nice to create a quest where the survivors of Rockopolis find the player and ask him to help them to clean the city of remnant creatures, slavers or whatever and later to restore the city to its glamour.
Almost two years late but, I think you're right about a quest to help clear out remains, report to authorities (Lyons/Outcast/Enclave with bad karma) and get them to restore it for you. Finished clear-up augment some elements of the base of those who helped, and 24/7 guarded with their members-- two inside and outside. Then half of the place are for refugees, a couple of traders and the other half will be yours and 5-8 of your companions (assuming a player has installed a lot of companion mods and wanted them to be ready whenever the lone wanderer visits the area.) But that's just me. Let's just have this, for now. :)
First of all, GREAT WORK! I was planning into making one, never had the time and motivation to do it. Good to see someone finally took on rebuilding Rockopolis.
Small note : In my opinion the main square should atleast have some signs of past activity before the slavers took everyone and some signs of combat.
8/10. Great mod and the concrete buildings are absolute love. That Demolition Man feeling oh man!
It's a great dungeon, though I do think it needs a bit more to make it worth exploring, like unique loot or a quest to rebuild the city, like Helgen Reborn. Maybe after clearing out Paradise Falls.
Do not take it as negative opinion, please. I believe that large concrete buildings should not be part of this mod. How did they end up in the caves ? Those wooden and metal shacks, like ones in Evergreen Mills should be inside the caves. The cabins from Little Lamplight, too. As if settlers built them on purpose.
About concrete walls, I think of this city as the underground dwarven cities in the "Lord of the Rings". I dont know if that was the intention of the author or if its lore-friendly or not, but I did like it a lot. It is a beautiful piece of work. If vaults, those big underground facilities, exist, why not this beautiful underground city?
Well, in Jordan there is an ancient city (Petra) excavated entirely in the rock, the facade of the buildings is carved on the wall of the mountain, so it is not necessary to bring the material to create a small underground city ... hello from Paperopiero
Possible explanation might be a tectonic activity, parts of topside city sinking down because of the earthquake. What is tectonic activity like in DC area ?
It is supposed to be a troglodyte city. Not knowing about troglodyte activity doesn't mean it doesn't exist. Perhaps there are thousands of people dwelling nowadays in underground cities in Maryland and Virginia, but they are smart enough to remain hidden from tax inspectors, Vault-Tech reps, slavers, "daring" Dashwoods and other nuisances.
And 200 years is a very long time, people had time to build, destroy, build again and so on. What did DC look like, 200 years ago. And what will it look in 200 years ? Perhaps they retrieved cement sacks from a nearby vault. In fallout 4 just scavenging the cement laying on the ground in Vault 88 allows the sole Survivor alone to build a vault and several cities much larger than Rockopolis in some days.
It is not supposed to be a realistic game, but simplistic fantasy with lots of inconsistencies. Otherwise where are the brahmin bulls ? and how do people wear clothes in pristine condition after 200 years (and why would they wear 200 years old fashion style anyway ?) And how come you find bullets and weapons in every office girl's desk drawer but never any lipstick ?
God damn, I was just done watching Oxhorn's The Adventures of Herbert Dashwood video, and this mod suddenly comes up on the hotfiles. I'll be sure to properly check this mod out once I'm able, tracking for now.
