The readme. Which are you referring to? The sweetfx dxgi file is included with the files, it is renamed to d3d9_SweetFX1.dll . The archive file you add is a d3d9 file. The link is just under the install notes or added to the down load as a required file. Open that and take 1 of the 4 d3d9 files and place that with the other files.
So 'dxgi.dll' was renamed to 'd3d9_SweetFX.dll'? All is good then.
The readme I was referring to is 'SweetFX readme.txt' inside the mod archive file which states the following:
/*-----------------------------------------------------------. / Installation / '-----------------------------------------------------------*/ 1) Extract or copy all the files into the directory of a game exe (keeping the file structure intact).
The installed files are: d3d9.dll - DirectX 9 proxy dll that will inject shaders into DirectX 9 games d3d9.fx - DirectX 9 specific shader code dxgi.dll - DirectX 10/11 proxy dll that will inject shaders into DirectX 10/11 games dxgi.fx - DirectX 10/11 specific shader code shader.fx - Alternative DirectX 9 specific shader code for FXAA support. injector.ini - Settings for the shader injector dlls - you can reconfigure the keys used in this file SweetFX readme.txt - This readme SweetFX_preset.txt - You can choose which settings file to load here - default is to load SweetFX_settings.txt SweetFX_settings.txt - SweetFX settings. Effects can be turned on and off here, and their settings can be tweaked.
Oh ok I thought that maybe the readme you meant. Yes everything is fine, the files for the sweetfx are all there, just some of the names were altered to allow for proper use with the ENB. Everything works as it should.
Actually I had been looking at that, just my SE wouldn't even run for me so have to figure out how to get it running first. I'll have a look later in the week and see what I can do. This should work with the oldrim (SE haven't tested it yet)and you can add abit of blue tint by altering the Lift Gamma Gain settings in the preset file. Third # in the set of three under the heading above.
Just place it in the game folder with the game exe like you did for fo3 but in the skyrim folder and it should work. Also if you check the sweetfx site through the link on the description you can download alternate preset files for skyrim from there too and switch out the presets.
Have a look here at my general description http://www.moddb.com/members/carinth01
So, I've never used an EnB before... what do I do with this thing? (You might want to write your answer in the description for others, then reply and let me know to have a look JAS)
No you made it a little more difficult than needed, but no worries. All you need do is place the files from this mod in the game folder as directed on the description, then download the linked moddb version and take the d3d9.dll from the altd3d9 folder as directed on the description. Place that with the other files and you are good to go. If you download the files from the enb site they are not setup for this so you would then need to alter the setup.
My setups vary from the normal ENB setups, they are actually a little different, here's an outline http://www.moddb.com/members/carinth01
If you check the setup video on my other mod for setting up the game, it shows where the d3d9.dll would be placed, the other files go in the same spot. The nexus ones don't contain the d3d9.dlls so you need to add it from my other files. http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout3/mods/21888/
the limited descriptions, it's something with the site. Sometimes the descriptions don't come up, but then you just refresh and after they normally work then.
For comparison I started with the half and half comparisons, then moved into the actual gameplay with all the effects enabled so you can see the difference. Once it's all set and running you should notice a difference in the whole game. Just hit shift-f12 to disable enb to see the difference ingame and pausebreak for the sweetfx toggle.

Finding very detailed instructions I undid my previous attempt and followed your directions.
Works great - Looks great! Well done.

Glad you got it all working
