For those who try this, it's easy. Just go inside any interior areas which are known NOT to respawn, like Super Duper Mart. Go into your character's inventory > ITEMS > AID and find the 'Zone Control' choice. Click on this. It should tell you that the area does not respawn. Just choose Enable Respawn. Nothing will happen typically until 72 hours (3 days) later. When you come back everything in there will have respawned.
