    Hi Everyone. This is a simple little quest. I would like to do two things to it if someone could give me a little guidance.

    1) I'd like to make the quest trigger when Three Dog talks about his toaster being broken.
    2) I'd like to remove that bit of dialog after you fix it.

    Since both of these involve editing the GNR Radio script, I am not sure if I will. I'd be too concerned about breaking really good GNR mods.

    Hey there. Liking this mod so far, but I think I ran into a problem. I've started the quest and things were functioning normally until I reached what I assume is Jennifer's house in Canterbury Commons, just down the road from Toastmasters. I'm stuck on the quest objective of searching the house even though I've been there and already found the note on the fridge. I even went to the Radiation King store in Georgetown to find the answering machine (it was there).

    Do you think you could help me out?

      This is kinda late (3 years) but you need to look at one of the phones in Jen's house first. The broken answering machine should be visible. Click on it and it will allow you to retrieve the part

    I just wanted to alert you that your description does NOT clearly point out the extent of any conflict with Canterbury Estates, and btw is also further confusing because "CC" is usually a shorthand instead applied to the CC Interiors mod, and not used by the Canterbury Estates mod (these two mods are quite different and conflict with each other). Also, the Canterbury Estates mod itself hasn't been around for ages but an improved version called "Canterbury Estates - Some Ideas" took it's place. From what I know of that mod and the previous comment here, I gather your mod puts a shop where the "Canterbury Estates - Some Ideas" common house is? And your previous commenter didn't say whether your mod conflicts in any way with Canterbury Estates' Hotel, just that they themselves could still enter it. This is all potentially quite problematic because characters from Canterbury Estates use the hotel and the common house and could get stuck. They aren't just filler, some do repairs, run a store, and protect the town. I'd say your mod is probably incompatible unless you know otherwise.

    Hello,

    A very charming little mod! I recommend it.A moderately complicated and lore-friendly puzzle which draws you in with nice little touches..

    What it needs is a simple walkthrough. Some of the clues are frustrating. As a hint, in every important location check everything possible.

    This is such a catch 22; Your mod is a great idea and I really wanna use it! But... I know Three Dog can't have new dialogue to talk about you fixing his toaster, and the kicker is that the radio clip won't change if I do fix it. So I'll be adding immersion, only for more to be taken away... Unless it's a repeatable quest maybe...

    love the mod so far, however, ran into a snag fixed the answering machine and it still says fix the answering machine in the quest notes? any suggestions?

    i cant finish the quest, maybe is bugged or i dont know... starts pretty well but suddenly no clues or nothing to do next...

    i stuck with guy already shoots him.

    Hello again
     
    Just started a new game with your mod and I have another suggestion:
    Maybe  the gunshot and the corpse could be disabled until the appropriate quest stage, so we don't trigger the whole thing and find the note too early in the game?

      This should have been disabled until you were on the quest. I'll check it out. You should have to have been directed to CC first.

    Well I looked at CC Estates in the GECK and it heavily modifies about every single building in CC. Actually, the Toastmaster's door completely overrides the Common House.. that wasn't visible ingame.
    I wouldn't bother, just keep your mod as it is.. the hotel is still accessible and the common house is pretty useless anyway imho.
    Just wanted to signal it so other users know what to look for if they're lost like I was when searching for the house.
     
    Can't help you with custom textures myself but maybe you could use the toaster icon from T3T Misc Item Icons for your perk, or find something usefull in there?

      Thanks for the suggestions, I just uploaded v 1.1

      Changes:
      "Custom" perk artwork using the toaster from T3T. Not much, but I like it.
      Fixed that typo
      Adjusted the quest a bit
      Took out some fingerpointing, so "Find Toastmasters at Canterbury Commons" is now just "Find Toastmasters"
      Updated the quest scripts so you should get completion messages before new objective messages. That was just kind of funky.
      Description updated to indicate that it conflicts with CC Estates.
