Okay, yeah, this is perfectly logical. Half the damn Vault's after your head, why would you waste time reading? Do so AFTER no one is trying to crack your head open.
Wait... people still have guards chasing after them when they make it to the Overseer's office? I kill all of them on the way except for Gomez and the Overseer himself.
In theory the Vault is on an state of emergency and there are areas on the Vault that are locked to the player. Is not impossible to assume there are more guards coming after you from these areas.
I can't see why not. It's a rather simple change. But I've never used TTW before so I would need to learn how to adapt the mods to it, first. However, anybody with the knowledge is free to make a conversion of my mods for TTW. So, hopefully, if a TTW user with the right knowledge checks this mod, the conversion should come fairly quickly after that.
Your best bet would be to link this mod in a TTW forum so people there are aware of which mods need to be converted.
Thanks, flipflop! You're welcome. I have a couple of new ones in the chamber but they will take more time since I need to find the proper voice actors.
Well, this isn't logical. Downloading data from a terminal is deemed hacking since there is no normal option of doing this without having to tinker with the terminal itself lore-wise. It's kind of cliche convenience that when you are escaping a "download" option opens up while at other times it is not there. You either have the option for all terminals or do not, it cannot mysteriously appear just when you "need" it.
No, the option was there in the old Fallouts and New Vegas. But you're looking at it from the wrong angle. It has nothing to do with hacking. The option shouldn't be in all terminals because the option is there ONLY because your character decides than he/she has no time or needs certain quest info and THEN plugs in his/her Pip-Boy to the terminal to get the information.
That's why the option is there and that's why in the older games the option only appeared when needed in a logical context to get important information, not everytime you used a terminal. The same logic follows here. You're in a hurry, you take a quick glance at some GECK info but you don't have time to check it out so you plug in your Pip-Boy and download the information. Is it convenient? Yes. Is it logical? Also yes.
Fair enough, but shouldn't this be automatic? Why create a new button just for that? Regarding current status the info should be added automatically upon entering terminal instead of clicking additional button (which would conflict with other mods that change terminal).
When players turns on the terminal a little message box should say that info has been added to his/her pip-boy. It wouldn't conflict and be much more efficient.
I think it's more immersive the way it's been implemented because the player gets to decide if they want to download the information or not. They are still free to chill inside the Overseer's office and read all the notes right there if they want to do so, leaving the Vault without the information. But if a player feels that stopping to read 10 notes while being chased breaks their immersion a tiny bit (like it happened to me), then, this mod just adds the option to still get the info and continue your escape in a relistic fashion. That was just something I felt it was missing from the vanilla game.
I don't think there are any incompatibilities that I know of. I've tried every Vault 101 mod there is and they seem to work just fine. The only thing this mod does is adding a script that gives the notes to the player if activated. It will hardly have any incompatibilites. But when in doubt, just put it at the bottom of your load order and create a merged patch (like everybody should do anyway).

There are any chance of a TTW version?
