=== FO3 STUN GUN ===

This mod adds a non-lethal option for players doing pacifist runs, or for those who just like screwing around zapping people. There are three different ESPs included, so choose the one you want to use and ignore the other two.

- FO3 Stun Gun (Amata) -
This version has Amata give you the stun gun in place of her father's 10mm pistol during your escape from Vault 101. Perhaps the most lore-friendly option but it modifies the CG04 quest script.

- FO3 Stun Gun (Megaton) -
This version places the stun gun in a small metal box under the table outside your house in Megaton. If you're already in the middle of a playthrough and don't want to start over, choose this one.

- FO3 Stun Gun (Vault 101 Nightstand) -
This version simply places the stun gun in the nightstand beside your bed in Vault 101 for you to grab during your escape. This version is also pretty lore-friendly but doesn't alter any default scripts.

=== DETAILS ===

The stun gun deals only 1 damage to living targets and causes paralysis for 10 seconds - more than enough time to steal their stuff and run away to hide. It will deal 50 shock damage to robots (the logic being that it produces an EMP) and will make mutated insects explode (the logic being that the electricity cooks them from the inside, causing pressure to build up under their exoskeletons before finally exploding).

For the sake of it being less work for me, the stun gun fires a pulse (the Mesmatron projectile, to be exact) instead of the real-world darts attached to wires. I couldn't be bothered to learn how to model those. Its condition also never degrades because I couldn't think of any logical base-game weapon that would be used to repair it (but also a stun gun has no moving parts, so there shouldn't be anything to degrade anyway, right?). The reload animation is also a bit strange (your hand doesn't actually touch the cartridge when replacing it) but I'm not skilled enough of a modder to fix it and it doesn't look too bad.

=== CREDITS ===

The Taser X26 mesh was made by Mirza Miftahul Fadillah, which I downloaded for free from Sketchfab (http://sketchfab.com/models/a196e086c4b240b087197a07d0f93e9c). I converted the model to NIF format and made it work in game. I also edited the textures to remove the brand name markings and made the normal maps to give the weapon some texture.
