Early 2023 review: Another decent little quest mod from AmaccurzerO featuring new faction in the Wasteland.
Overall, it's straight forward gunplay without any depth for characters or their backstory (just as minimum as player need to understand premise), and I must say that from lore perspective - there's absolutely nothing that can break potential history of Fallout lore, so nothing to worry about.
As for main objectives, they are very short and to see all mod content you will need no more than 30 minutes, so accept it as a little fun adventure.
New combat armor and helmet models with "patriotic" textures are nice and definitily will give more "colours" to your character's wardrobe.
I need to warn that I also encountered the bug, mentioned by others and solved it pretty quick by instruction from description page of the mod.
In the end, I completed quest, took armor and blow patriot's heads off because it's the least I could've done to purge Wasteland from another fanatics faction :)
Should you try this mod in 2023? Yes, it's clearly not the best quest in AmaccurzerO's roaster, but you will get additional time for playthrough and satisfying reward.

Whenever I look for Fallout 3 quest mods, I almost always see your reviews in the posts. It actually makes me happy knowing someone's still reviewing and checking FO3 mods because it meant someone's still playing one of my favorite games as recent as a year ago (it is 2024 as I write this) lol. Thank you, dude!

No need for thanks, I just want to help some newcomers and returning FO3 players, as well as give my honest opinion about this or that quest mod (even though nobody's obliged to 100% agree with me on any topic).
So, yeah, have a nice day!

Why upload a patch for a small mod?  Upload the whole mod with the updated file(s) and mark the old one as old.  I looked through the files and the installation instructions and still had questions.  I think the whole mod could be packaged to be installed in one go, and the instructions would be: download and install.

An objective person can observe that in the USA, the people who want big government to dictate behavior, are also people who have not lived under such systems, be it communism, fascism, strongman dictatorship, etc.

They have not had first hand experience in freedoms-oppressing systems of government.
    Only theory.
And theory is always prettier than reality.
    In theory, communism works great.
In reality, every implementation of communism has been a fiasco, inflicting untold pain and misery on the little people.

Good people want to have a modest life of peace, not bothering others, having the blessing of a family, etc.

    Now back to FO3.
    Thanks again!

Adherence to any one idea is stupid blind belief. Whether it be small or big government. Needs change according to the situation and times.
You haven't really read up on enough history to call those "big governments" failures.

Do you think America won WW2 by being small government? I didn't know small governments had drafts and mobilized industries.

All developing nations showed great progress in earlier stages of development when governments allocated resources to construct national infrastructure projects, and even the 5-year plans worked for the first few times to pull USSR into the 2nd most powerful regime on the planet in the Cold War (but ofc, they failed to see that it doesn't work all the time after some level of development, they had to switch to new policies). Post War Europe had a lot of big governments that put all the money they received from the US to rebuilding the infrastructure.

Even the Republicans were pro-big-government 150 years ago when they wanted trans-continental railroad built that would expand their market access across states.
Even the USSR wanted to demobilize and deregulate after WW2.
Lenin wanted representation from each city in their parliament, but when Stalin came to power he rolled back all the changes and made it into a dictatorship. And like the French Revolution, there were many people who wanted the new regime to go in a different direction but the scholars and communist intellectuals who opposed Stalin were thrown in Gulags or assassinated. You know who wins out in the end? Brute force, not ideals. The one who gets to be in charge is never the "best leader" but the "best powergrabber." No matter what form of government, this is always true.
It didn't help when the sudden Nazi attack on USSR made Stalin's hold on power stronger. Then after the war the USSR never managed to fully demobilize after that, and its downfall was an economical one: they tried to spend just as much as the US on an ongoing arms race, but whereas the US spent 10% of its GDP in its most militarized state (4.5% today, most developed nations spend 3%), USSR had to spend 20% just to keep up. Every production spent towards the military sector is money that does not go to the prosperity of civilians in the civilian sector.

90% of the little nations out there with "communist" regimes are actually just "anti-west" regimes that need an alternative backer (USSR then, now China) so they paste "communist" before their name. If you look at the way their governments are run its hardly different from stronghanded monarchy. There is no sharing of goods. Even North Korea burned all their Communist books in the 70s when they decided not to keep up their appearances any longer after their dictator finished getting rid of all his political opponents within the party.

Those fools who say "taxation is theft" have never seen places like South Africa where you have to spend all your earnings on fortifying your home with concrete walls and armed guards, because the police are underfunded and corrupt. There needs to be a balance between taxes and deregulation.

WAAAY Too often, I see politicians who wear the shirt of "FREEDOM" and are busy pointing at bad leaders of other government systems and say, "Hey, look at how cruel they have it over there, just be glad I'm not as bad as their leader! Now excuse me while I do the same thing as them... oh no nothing ENTIRELY like their policies but something more insidious and light..."

They like to point at "Commies" and they allow lobbying and money to override voting power of the people.

All of which is why Brexit was necessary and voted for, and why all the anti-democratic forces on both sides of the Atlantic hate it. But Britain is the Mother of all Parliaments. Btw, the American War of Independence (it wasn't a revolution) ended not at Yorktown but in London when a Tory government Bill to keep funding the war was democratically defeated, voted down by anti-war Tories siding with Whig opposition. Yes, that's right America, you didn't partially defeat (with the help of the French, Spanish and Dutch monarchies) a Tyrannical King, but a democratic state whose current constitution dates to 1688. And nor was that victory complete, for Britain defended Canada, the West Indies, Gibraltar and gained other territories in what was essentially a world war. And Britain ended slavery over half a century before you and it's Royal Navy single-handedly stopped the trans-atlantic slave trade despite you. But you fool yourselves with your fantasies, as do many European, South American and Asian countries. Wake up America, your new president Biden just forgave China for its ongoning homicide of Uighars, while criticising Britain for democratically voting to leave an increasingly undemocratic, bureaucratic behemoth.

Excellent mod. I really loved the story, the NPCs, their equipment, voicing... The choice of locations is really good, and I'd especially praise the overall design and contents of the Chimera depot / Chinese HQ. I mostly prefer stealth when roaming the Wasteland but I do enjoy a good battle every now and then, and the one in this mod was crazy fun Technically everything worked perfectly, with (maybe) one exception of the laser sniper which is oddly shiny, but it's really not a big deal.

And a recommendation for those who like action. If you install and finish these mods before playing The Patriot's Club...

    2 the Regulators by WillieSea
... you'll get to enjoy yet another incredible battle before entering the Chinese HQ, as its entrance is right there in the middle of a combined Enclave encampment with something like 20+ most heavily armed Enclave troopers and their pet deathclaws

Once more, this is some excellent stuff!

This mod is a bit old, but I put a lot of time and effort on it. I am glad people still enjoy it.

I so can't wait to get a suit of that armor. Captain America is my favorite superhero and the chance at getting the armor is why I will be firing up Fallout 3 again.
