Yes, absolutely. I use it on male and female playthroughs. Most of the prompts are gender neutral and the ones that aren't, are properly registered for the right gender ;)
Also, just thought I'd share this with everyone, I made my own version for TTW. I noticed the version for TTW has this mod doesn't have the changes from TTW carried over, meaning it breaks stuff like dismissing Capital Wasteland companions in the Mojave Wasteland, so my version fixes that issue. I merged the Operation: Anchorage dialogue, and I'm also using TTW Reputations, so a patch for the mod is included aswell.
I really hope you don't mind, but I removed some changes I didn't like for a mod that mainly changes dialogue lines, like some intelligence requirement tweaks and the lockpickable ballot box.
EDIT: Restored most of the intelligence requirement changes since maybe some of the dialogue are better off with them, changed some dialogue and fixed a few grammatical errors.
EDIT 2: Added patches for TTW New Vegas Speech Checks and its Reputation patch.
Hi. I need to play the game again to completion to be able to thoroughly improve the dialogue that still needs to be improved in the DLC so everything is consistent. Maybe this summer as I am finishing a master's degree atm.
Are you sure the latest TTW version doesn't carry the last changes? It was uploaded very recently courtesy of Sweet6Shooter. In any case, I will also sticky this post just so other TTW users find it and can pick and choose.
Hey, Vegas. Sweet6Shooter's TTW 3.3 conversion carries the wrong version number in the File Header. Running with this will cause TTW to put up an error message in game. 0.94 needs to be set to 1.34. Just thought you should know.
If that mod changes player dialogue, then yes, but basically the one at the bottom of your load order "wins" the conflict. If you want my changes, put this mod last.
Oh this mod is absolutely wonderful! On a slightly unrelated note, may I ask what mod in the screenshots is retexturing the faces of the NPCs? They look fantastic; not too much of a change but way easier on the eyes than the vanilla faces.
Maybe I'm just not looking hard enough but is there a mod like this that resembles the original version of it? I want to maintain most of the vanilla dialogue but change only the lines about looking for Dad to be clearer. I have D.E.R.P. already but as far as I recall it does not change any lines, only adds some.
I don't think there is but it is really easy to make if open the GECK ;)
Alternatively, you can download the first file I uploaded in 2016, that one contains the changes you are looking for but I cannot guarantee that I didn't go through other dialogue lines as well.
The mod is great overall, but there's plenty of room for improvement. Here are my suggestions:
(Anchorage, 01002213) Dialogue makes it so you're forced to say "yes, sir in 3 different ways. Should be changed to some kind of "breaking character in simulation" dialogue, like the original dialogue "Pfft... this isn't even real."
(000C81C4) "I blew him up" should be removed from the line. Zimmer would've probably been pissed off if he finds out you killed his android.
Spoiler:
Show
(0002C848) Calling him a "ghoul hater" wouldn't have made sense if you find out the people Crowley wanted you to assassinate except for Tenpenny aren't actual ghoul haters.
(00038AC8 and 00038AC4) Dialogue doesn't line up with Sierra's dialogue. I'd suggest changing them to "You have a Nuka-Cola Collection?" and reverting the Nuka-Cola fan club dialogue.
(00038B5A) "It rings a bell" should be changed to "Tell me about it". since it sounds more better to me.
(000C31D5) Low intelligence requirement pretty much is a pointless change, because it prevents you from sending Sarah to activate the purifier instead of choosing to do it yourself if you have a higher intelligence level. Especially if you're using this mod.
(00070F9A) Dialogue shouldn't have a karma requirement.
(00039494) Intelligence requirement should be removed, since the dialogue changed sounds neutral to whether or not you know about Paradise Falls.
(00048112) "You can trust me" should be replaced to "What's that special reward?".
The player still tells Fawkes that he's fired when dismissing him instead of nicely telling him to part ways.
There's still instances of "Okay" being spelled as "Ok".
Also, some more dialogue errors I've already reported below:
(Anchorage, 01002479) There's a space before the question mark.
(Anchorage, 0100C3DB) "I" is mispelled as "If".
(0002A80F) "I think it's time for the Republic to hold a state funeral, Dave. Say your prayers." The word "hold" is missing.
(0002A701) When telling Ted Strayer that you're going to kill him, the dialogue incorrectly refers to Ted as Dukov.
(0002C84F) "City" isn't capitalized.
(0005F6FB) "Slaughter" is incorrectly in past tense instead of present tense.
(00058A06) There's a stray "I" in the dialogue.
(000B7F3F) "Intel" should be in lowercase.
Aside from that, here's hoping in the next update that this mod will bring over fixes from Updated Unofficial Fallout 3 Patch and covers all of the DLCs aswell.
Hi, thank you for your detailed feedback. Some of those come down to personal preference but sadly, it's been so long since I had time to play Fallout 3 and test the mod that I cannot offer a detailed answer right now. Regarding the next update, I doubt it will touch anything regarding UUF3P but the DLC will arrive at some point. Just don't hold your breath for now because RL is keeping me busy.
If you ever come back to update the mod I just wanted to let you know that the mod does touch a lot of files from UUF3P. I ported the fixes from it's esp through FO3Edit and left your changes on the responses untouched but I'll have to test to see if causes any issues in the future.
Thanks for letting me know. It's been a long time since I touched the mod but if you don't notice any issues, maybe it's a good idea to use your modified version as a base for an update (whenever that/if happens).
I'm making a mod where I rewrite parts of the story, and I want to include some dialogue changes. I was wondering if I could use some of your dialogue changes in my mod to make the process slightly easier, as long as I give credit to you for those dialogue changes?
Also, some of the dialogue can always be rude at times even if you're trying to be a good guy, and I'm glad this mod tries to resolve these. for example...
When dismissing companions the Lone Wanderer usually deadpan says "You're fired" as if they're your mercenaries, when they're usually not. He/she usually continues to sound rude when said yes, telling the companion to leave.
Upon informing the Big Town residents that Red and Shorty are dead, the Lone Wanderer tells them to deal with it.
