I had the game running too fast after installing the fix so I used your ENBSeries solution. It didn't work, the game was choppy, the fps were way to low as it seemed capped at 15 fps. thought and dug around, I found the solution and It was by going to the INI you provided and changing the cap from 100 to 60. That solved the issue.
Unfortunately I soon found out that ENBSeries makes the Antialiasing not work at all on fallout 3 by technical matters. so no matter the options the antialiasing doesn't work. This was a big deal for me.
The main problem is the fps being uncapped, making fo3 running at 100+ fps with modern hardware. I found the "Fallout Stutter Remover" plugin for FOSE has a simple fps cap. Therefore I removed ENBSeries and installed the "Fallout Stutter Remover" plugin and went to it's INI settings, set the cap max from 30 to 60 and that worked perfectly. Now I can use your fix and the Game runs how it should *and* I have Antialiasing.
Hi! I had some troubles with game speed because of it i have used this "Fallout Stutter Remover". After installing the problem was solved, so i've tried to kill some npc's in Megaton, though the game has been crushed after 10-30 seconds of fight. FSR was deleted by me and well i'm using a notebook, it has win10 and 60hz monitor so i have redacted fallout.ini this way: iPresentInterval=1 instead of 0 (it solves this excessive speed), iFPSClamp=60 instead of 0 (because without it plaing feels like i have some kind of image interruptions, looks like my fps decreases to ~50 and going back to 60 all the time, i hope you understood). So... i don't really know how will it work for monitors with 75, 90, etc. hz (i guess there will be a reason to to change iFPSClamp accordingly), but it helped me and i hope it will help someone else.
when i try to use the 4gb patch it says i dont have permission to do stuff to the fallout3.exe file and i need an admistrator even though i am the administrator of the computer, can you help?
Hi I downloaded and installed this but now I am unable to save my game, I try saving or quicksaving and no save pops up to reload to. Is there a way to fix this? What is causing this? Please help I am stuck and unable to save anymore.
It should pretty much fix most crashes, unless it's caused by a mod which has an error in itself. But if it's a standard game related crash then it should be corrected.
So my game freezes up while im playing, but the sounds in the game are still there. will this mod fix that issue so my screen doesnt freeze while in certain areas?
This should normally help with most issues in the game as it pretty much corrects the issues in the base game, including crashing, freezing and other issues. But it depends on what other mods you may be using. If it is one of them causing the issue, that is a problem created by the mod and that mod would need to be corrected as it's error would not be corrected when the game is corrected by this. This normally works fine with all mods but does not correct a mod error it corrects the game errors. If the mod error is related to a game issue then it will normally correct the game issue related to what's causing the mod issue unless it's the mod itself being bad. Are you using any mods that could be causing this issue. Example - Unofficial Patch?
Is there any reason I shouldn't be able to use this with the Rebirth+ collection? I can only assume it wasn't included there due to some interference but I can't find an answer.
Should work Fine with it. I'd think it would actually compliment it and allow the game to perform better when running it. It's a visual overhaul, this is a performance enhancement, so it should be fine using both. They apply to different aspects of the game.
is anyone else unable to download the enb from the link? The site opens fine and then I cant download the file. I see the download button but i cant click it. help please
I just tried it. Seems to work fine. I assume you mean the one from the ENB site. Check to make sure your security software isn't blocking it. I noticed on one of my secure browsers it said it was an insecure file and blocked the download, but tried my normal browser and it was fine. Can only guess that it is because it is a zip file and some security software blocks those types of downloads. But being from the ENB site I know it doesn't have an issue and I scanned it from my other browser and no issues. Heuristics AntiVirus issue more then likely blocking it or something you have installed on your browser. Normally you just click the down arrow next to the download listed at the bottom of the info.
If you are downloading it to address a speed issue in the game you can check the pinned comment just above too.

So I might suggest you to consider this solution.
Thank you for your fix BTW!
Going to sticky this
And have you tried right clicking the file and telling it to run as admin?
The game get's hiccups sometimes after patching and normally a system restart corrects the issue.
