I didn't like the mod, I'll explain why. First, the treatment of damaged limbs should at least last 15 minutes in real time. It would last longer in life, but it's a game. Second, the medical bandage should be visible on the leg or arm while the treatment time passes. Third: a medical bandage should be applied to the body without clothes. Do this and get my approval.
Great mod, I would recommend making the braces consumable, (1 use limit) and also doing similar work for crutches. Perhaps making them increase your speed while a leg is crippled.
Nice work man.I was thinking the same as you that make medical brace more useful.Just a little idea for your future vesion. could you disable the function of heal the limbs by stimpaks?!!!and also make the healing has overtime effect.that will be great and more realistic.
I would have the brace be "used up" after use. Otherwise, a person could gather 3-4 braces and never need another for the rest of the game. If they get "used up", people will value the braces more. Also, the cost/value of braces should be increased due to their new usefulness (haven't tried the mod yet, not not sure if you have done so).
i think that this brace should set your agility down by 8 % that would make it fairly realistic but else great job ive allways thought that misc item would have been a cool medical tool to have in the game ill rate this a 10
This is a great idea, and Bethesda should have done it from the start. Even in all the original fallout series everything had a use, even junk in fallout 2, is used to make something (which I forget - but it was out-side of NCR)
You could make medical braces temporary, instead of an item you make it a drug. So you get a temporary heal in your cripple limbs say for 10 hours (cause its old and broken down - breaks fast since your running around and getting shot at in the waste land)
As for other items, I am sure you can think of something. Make wrench a weapon, equip it and your repair goes up 5 points, or something.
It might be nice to have a version without the extra text after the limb name since most people can figure out which arm or leg is crippled. If they can't they really should not be playing as they would not be able to install the mod in the first place.

Recently updated to 1.2, this adds a second check for Endurance when calculating points healed.
Also, i uploaded a Crutches Patch for v1.2 if you want the same functionality for Crutches (something i overlooked)
just released 1.1, which now implements your Medicine skill into the effectiveness of the Brace, as well as a new optional "no text help" esp
