As far as I know, there is a finite number of loading slides that can be shown in the game and each has a specific file name which is why all loading screen mods replace the vanilla ones. If you wanted to have a mixture of vanilla and this mod, you could delete the ones you don't like from this mod after installing it and then the vanilla loading screen with that file name will be shown.
Actually it's really simple, just create a new loading screen in GECK. The game picks a random (or area based) load screen from the list each time. There is no limit.
You can simply create new load screen with concept art and the game will show them randomly. No need to replace vanilla ones.
Do you have ArchiveInvalidation Invalidated installed? Or did you add bInvalidateOlderFiles=1 to your fallout.ini? That may be your issue. Otherwise, I'm not really sure because all this does is place texture files into folders with no activations or fiddling needed.
This is awesome, best loading screen replacer on the whole site.
A couple of things that I changed: I actually like the original film/slide effect, so I hid the following files: loading_background.dds loading_glare.dds loading_strips.dds loading_swipe01.dds
Also, I think the "Please Wait" screen when you start the game is too bright/saturated so I lowered both.
And finally, I think "loading_bos.dds" makes for a better main menu screen than the one you chose, because it's more like Mr. Adamowicz's version of the original main menu screen.
Anyways, thanks again for putting in so much work to make these look so great!
All fair points, I wasn't sure how people would respond to my changing of the slide effects, but I added those modified versions to show off the artwork first and foremost. As far as the main background I agree that it fits better, but I actually just wanted an excuse to use the fully colored concept art as much as I could because all of the loading slides are strictly Adam's sketches. Thanks for taking interest!
Yea, Larger, Rickety, and wide open. And just look at that Raven Rock concept art! Someone needs to get a team together and re-vamp all the locations to look like the concept art, for a mod.

By the way, good job on the second version!
