Description
~~~~~~~~~~~
This simple mod is the first part to a planned series to expand the usefulness of misc items in the Wasteland.
This mod simply attaches a script to Medical Braces, allowing them to heal crippled arms / legs. To initiate this, the menu will either pop up when you pick up a brace, or if you drop it from your inventory and pick it up again. Either way, upon recieving the Main Menu screen, just select the desired limb that you wish to heal and based upon your Medicine skill, you will be healed through this formula
(Medicine Skill / 2.5) + (Endurance * 4) + 15
So this means the maximum amount of healing is 95 points (at Medicine skill level 100 and Endurance level 10). I hope this makes Medicine a more desireable skill while at the same time keeping people on their toes about the benefits of Endurance, and certainly allows for you to save those precious stimpaks for when you need them ;)
You can also select --Pick up normally--, if you would just like to pick it up in the normal fashion.
I realize this may not be entirely realistic in terms of using a "brace" (which would not be instant) as of this version, but i hope to add temporary speed/accuracy impediments as well as long-term healing in future releases. The cost of the Medical Brace was also raised to 20, to accommodate for the added functionality.
Have Fun!
Keep an eye out for future refurbishes as well! ;)
Installation
~~~~~~~~~~~~

As of version 1.1, there are 2 versions, "No Help" and the original. Basically, the "No help" version just removes the added text that clarifies which limb is which in relation to the pip-boy portrait (something i always find confusing, when left=right and right=left, etc). Some people wanted the text removed, so this version is for you guys ;)

to install, simply drag and drop either the "Misc Item Refurbish ~ Medical Brace.esp" or "Misc Item Refurbish ~ Medical Brace -- No Help.esp" file into your Data folder (default path should usually be

-- C:/Program Files/Bethesda Softworks/Fallout 3/ Data/ --

Then enable it in the Fallout 3 Data Files section of the load screen - and your good to go!
