I have taken the pack of water textures and the esp.And it works for me with project beauty but I don't know if some weather options have been suppressed, so it seems not, it works as usual but with beautiful water.
Im gonna give this a shot instead of project reality and give you some feedback on what i think after using fellout for years, i hope you dont mind some feedback.
Im currently using this mod alongside the brave new wasteland enb realistic version, so far megaton seems rather grey and gloomy through the afternoon, gonna check out alot of different places.
Hmm well with my current enb setup its rather bland after several in game days of playing unfortunately :/ Dont see much potential for it currently with an enb but is rather solid and assorted at that
Can you show a shot from under the water? You mention this is fixed, as I always hated swimming under the water in FO3, unlike the clear water in NV...
I gave TOE a quick test drive. I did side-by-side comparisons with TOE and DC Moods in several spots around the game world. I have a few thoughts.
* I like the look of your water. I think it's a great improvement over both vanilla and DC Moods. But I have one critique: you use a "rushing river" animation for small puddles of water (such as the one found just outside Vault 101) that looks odd to me.
* I don't like what this mod does with fog at all. It pushes fog way, way back, making most of the game world crystal clear, and then, suddenly, fog materializes, almost like a solid wall. I prefer more gradual fog, like we see in vanilla and DC Moods. When fog gradually thickens as we look further into the distance it looks much more natural.
I really like the look of your colors, though. They're not too garish but they're colorful enough to make the wasteland feel nicely alien. You've done a great job there.
But I don't think I can use this mod in its current state. If it wasn't for that fog issue I'd be using it right now. If you ever make a version with more natural-looking fog I will download that version in a split-second and use it and endorse it.
Anyway, nice work. I'm sure many people will like this.
I agree. I will work on the fog levels to give it a more gradual balance. But i do like it considerably farther back. There will be a version 2 in the near future, also with some new additions. I really appreciate your feedback on this. Thanks again.
Well, after doing these comparisons I decided I liked vanilla fog best. As an experiment I went into GECK and reverted TOE fog settings to vanilla. I like the effect very much. I'm going to continue to tweak it as I play, but I'm very happy with the results so far.
I guess I got used to seeing fog in Morrowind. I absolutely hated the long view distances in Oblivion. I thought it made Cyrodiil look like a model train set. I feel the same way about Fallout 3 and Skyrim. I know it's the trend these days for developers to push the view distance as far as possible, but I don't think I'll never like it. I think removing fog removes all the mystery from a game world.
ANYWAY...I like your mod very much. I'm definitely going to use TOE in my next game (which I should be starting tomorrow, if all goes well). Thanks a lot.
Sorry to but in here but I couldn't help but say how much I disagree with your complaint about far view distances!
One of my favourite things in these games is to explore, and when distant LOD textures are able to render very far things it makes exploring more exciting.
I have played Oblivion now for over a year without ever realizing there was a wizard's tower in the northern mountains east of Bruma. I then used a couple of "distant LOD overhauls" and LOD generators to boost distant views, and all of a sudden -from SOUTH of the Imperial City - I aw this strange tower in the distance to the north.
So I say to myself, I am going to go north, right now, without fast travelling, and find that tower to see what it is. It took me about 45 minutes to actually get there (after all the random enemy encounters, and just running around trying to scale the damn mountain looking for the path I needed) and it made actually finding that tower really exciting! (As a side note the door was locked and it "needed a key", but console cheats for the win! hehe)
So...... yeahh........ sorry to crash your party but I had to put in my 2 cents here Cheers.
I was about to start a new game with DC Moods but I may give this a try first.
I have a few questions. Is the Mall always that green, or are the colors randomly chosen? In Screen #3 it looks to me like the sun is in front of the mountains. Is this a mistake, or am I seeing things? And, lastly, you mention that this is compatible with Streetlights. Just to be certain, is it also compatible with Streetlights Wasteland?
Color depends on cloud formation time of day etc. The sun in front of the mountain is because my screenshots suck LOL. It is compatible with Streetlights.esm (Screenshot #6).
