Just a heads up for anyone thinking of installing this mod in 2023 and beyond: It has some issues when enabled along with the Updated Unofficial Fallout 3 Patch, which also adds a tunnel beyond the vault door. Using both mods together makes it so there are 2 vault door control panels on each side of the vault door, none of which can actually be used to open it. Interacting with any of them, or the vault door itself, gives the message "This object is activated from somewhere else."
(You could use console commands in-game to remove the vault door, the duplicate control panels, and the clipping terrain/objects, if you still want to use this mod for the new tunnel and the cut content it restores. But if that is immersion-breaking for you, maybe only pick one of these mods to use.)
Vault 87 has always confused me, How do the super mutants get out and into the vault, how come there are no vault suits, and why are there radiation signs from before the war?

No, it is not "common sense", there would still be Vault suits laying around, in draws etc, it's not like people would want to go there to loot the place. I have played through the game several times and have read every vault's wiki.
Well it's not as if it's uninhabited though saying that i also highly doubt that the mutant's would have discarded of all the jumpsuits without reason so i see you're point.
The radiation warning signs would've been put up pre-war to deter people from Vault 87's construction site, as they did intend to experiment with FEV there. By the time people were actually filing into the Vault, there was nobody left to take down the signs. So they've sat there ever since.

Thank you so much, yesterday was the first time I tried to enter through the wasteland and was just plainly disappointed on how it looked when I enter that way, even if I'm not gonna try to enter that way again, with this fix I can sleep soundly again.
