    I'm not sure if anyone is here?

    Suddenly NMM has stop working w/this mod. :-(

    Yes, I filed a bug report, just not sure how long it will take?

    So is there a specific instruction on where and how to put all the files?

    I was wondering if anyone had a fix for the DUI F3 config menu, It is on the start menu rather than the in game menu, and it doesn't do anything, therefore I can't adjust any settings, everything else works perfectly, iHud, FWE, aHud all work correctly, What am I doing wrong? I do have this mod installed. I hope for a swift response
    Thanks

      I think you are using the Anniversary Patcher ?

      • Open start_menu.xml in Data/Menus/Options with Darn installed
      • find the <_isPauseMenu> line
      • Edit <eq> 9 </eq> to <eq> 8 </eq> two lines under it (line 51)

      DARN uses the number of items in the start menu list to detect the main menu.
      The patcher removes the LIVE button so DARN's  check fails
      The code checks if the number of items in the menu equals 9 ( or 8 )

    when i'm installing it using MO2,i have the same issue with global saves became undetected when launching the game, already edit the line "SLocalSavePath=__MO_Saves\" into :

    SLocalSavePath=Saves\
    SLocalMasterPath=Data\
    bDisableDuplicateReferenceCheck=1

    as MaroES suggested, but when i load the game via Fose it return back to original state "SLocalSavePath=__MO_Saves\" and its really annoying, please a little insight or help to solve will be really much appreciated, Thanks

    If you are having problems after uninstalling the mod.

    Deleting uio folder in the Fallout3 Data folder seems to have helped with the game crashing at the startup.

    Installing this via MO2 and running it broke the save mechanism for me. I uninstalled UIO but MO2 still wasn't detecting my global saves. This is how you fix it, in case someone else has the same issue.

    1. Open your fallout.ini file in MO2 via the Ini Editor.
    2. Search for "SLocalSavePath=". There should be a long string of text. It will be below "bCreate%20Maps%20Enable=0" and above "bTintMipMaps=0"
    3. This string should look something like SLocalSavePath=Saves"SLocalMasterPath=Data\bDisableDuplicateReferenceCheck=1". Delete it and replace it with
    SLocalSavePath=Saves\
    SLocalMasterPath=Data\
    bDisableDuplicateReferenceCheck=1
    It should be three separate lines like above.

    Your save mechanism should be fine now. It seems that running UIO in MO2 concatenates these three lines into one, breaking the save system.

    I hope this helps someone.

      I had same issue. Disabling of UIO helped, then I deleted ini files from MO. MO regenerated ini files from MyDocuments and I was able to save and load game again.

    Has anyone used this with Vanilla User Interface + (VUI+)? I tried installing UIO with Mod Organizer 2 (MO2) and there was no effect. I uninstalled VUI+, installed UIO then reinstalled VUI+ and it still didn't work. I'm probably missing something obvious but any tips are appreciated.

      It's a bit silly to reply to a comment from over a year ago. This individual likely won't even remember that they had any issue.

    I noticed a lot of people had this break their game after uninstalling. If you're using MO2 I can only suggest what I did which got my game working again.

    Go to the overwrite section and remove the menu folder from there entirely then go through any mod you have installed that has a menu folder and reinstall>replace for each one.

    I only have 72 mods on this game (at the moment) and I had about 5 or 6 to reinstall but the game worked after I was done with them.

    EDIT: So I figure try the mod again but didn't make another mod work that required UIO so remove UIO still breaks things but at least with MO2 I found easier way to fix if you have too many mods.

    Move files from the overwrite section to UIO as they should just be files UIO made and deactivate the mod and remove it. Now my game is working once more.

    I started using this in New Vegas and decided I really needed it in FO3 too. You'll need to download Darns UI to use this, I found it on an external site somewhere but can't recall. You can search the interwebs for it. Still, a great addition to your game. Highly recommended.

    If you have trouble tweaking your Fallout.ini , remember that there is also a Fallout.ini.uio
    This overrides the Fallot.ini values.

    Took me 30 minutes to find out why certain tweaks wouldn't stick

    i had issues running UIO with Modmanger2.

    Whenever i tried to get UIO running my savegames were names e.g. 'SavesSLocalMasterPath=DatabDisableDuplicateReferenceCheck=1' or something similar. Additionally the saves were stored outside the 'saves' folder. At any case i wasnt able ro load such a savegame.

    I tried several MO2 versions but that error occured with every version of MO2.

    To get UIO running i installed direct into data folder and then tada UIO is working as expected. Savegames showed up propperly (default save folder/mo2 profile save folders) and i was able to load them.

    It seems MO2 cant load UIO with the virtual file system propperly.

    *edit* : ModOrganizer 1.4.0.4RC.WithNMMFixes can handle UIO propperly

      Hey man, I'm having the same exact problem its driving me up a wall. I thought it was Darnified UI, but that may be the culprit. I disabled UIO in my mod organizer and the problem still persists. I even change the Ini files in Mod organizer but every time i run the game it overrides it. How did you fix this?

      Hey nevermind i figured it out!  I installed UIO in my data folder incorrectly, once i deleted the files and reinstalled everything is looking good. Thanks so much for your help! I thought it was Darnified UI for sure.

      I'm having the same problem with not being able to load saves and all the saves are named "SavesSLocalMasterPath=DatabDisableDuplicateReferenceCheck=1"
      This is a brand new install of FO3 on MO2 following the Step Guide of Kelmych.
      Running vanilla FO3 outside MO2, I can save fine, but running from MO2 is the problem.
      I have FOSE and UIO and DUI, but even running a vanilla FO3 profile from MO2 with nothing but the DLC -- no other mods or patches -- and I still get the save game issue, so this seems to be something MO2 is doing to me.
      I'm pretty confused.  If anybody has any ideas . . .

      Okay, it was definitely UIO and not MO2 causing the issue.  I had followed some directions from modders who had had some success manually installing UIO to the "Data" folder.  That didn't work, but in subsequent testing, including trying to run the Vanilla game through MO2, the problem persisted because I forgot to manually delete said UIO files from the "Data" folder.  Yes, I know : stupid me.  Once I removed all traces of UIO, the save game mechanism returned to normal.  I've used UIO with FOMM with no issues, and I've also used it with MO2 in New Vegas, but there you have the advantage of the MCM.  I'm guessing MO2 just cannot handle UIO properly when it comes to Fallout 3.

      Hey Lessunknown
      Could you tell me exactly how you manually installed UIO? Because I've tried the obvious (drag and drop the content to the 'Data' folder) and the save problem persisted

      UPDATE:
      I've managed to fix this by completely uninstalling Fallout 3, deleting its respective instance in Mod Organizer 2, and starting from scratch.

      Yea, I'm needing a fix. Everything was running fine tonight then I downloaded a few more mods and then MO2 couldn't find my saves anymore. I had the same issue with the whole sSaveLocalPath nonsense, so I finally just completely wiped UIO off my PC. I tried installing manually this time but nothing changed at all, the moment UIO folders went into my Data folder for FO3, MO2 stopped loading my saves in-game.

      This sucks because now I can't control any of my HUD with iHUD or aHUD anymore, I can access them as you usually would with those mods, (i.e. pressing "I" to open settings for iHUD or "F6" for aHUD) but they don't actually work. I can't move any HUD elements with aHUD and my HUD never disappears with iHUD.
